That is Whiteman (WHP) not Santa Monica.

6:28 it's crazy how close flight simulator gets to this level of detail. give it another 10 to 15 years and it will look just like this.

Our 350 has the same Blackhawk -67 mod with the props. It's a hot rod. Our B200 has the Proline 21 panel, which I'm not a fan of; we use iPads with Foreflight on yoke mounts.

It's been a while, but that looked like a straight in approach and landing at Whiteman (WHP) up in Pacoima - not SMO.

Very nice aircraft, are the propellers equipped with variable pitch? Like a Merlin I guess. On the numbers,,, nice. Thanks for the great videos. HNY

Hi there, to answer your question… yes they are variable pitch. One thing that I really love about the King Air is the “beta” range of the props. We can actually reverse the pitch on landing so the engines are thrusting forward in order to slow the airplane down. The result is a super short landing roll

Fusion is smart,very good to fly! So many options in navigation! But sensitive for cold weather!

Santa Monica airport? IATA: SMO ICAO: KSMO FAA LID: SMO ? . Airport about 2 miles (3 km) from the Pacific Ocean (Santa Monica Bay) and 6 miles (10 km) north of Los Angeles International Airport ? are you sure it's Santa Monica airport (Los Angeles?)

HI, NICE. Why the condition lever on high all the time is it a normal way of operation or can it be in low idle??? Appreciate it

It really does not make a difference in flight because N1 runs above 62%, you can move it from high to low and will not see any difference. If you are running on the ground in low idle the air conditioning compressor will kick off. If you land the airplane in high idle you will get into beta much quicker and have shorter landing rolls.

Does this 350 have higher horsepower engines than usual? Takeoff roll seems rather quick

Yes it does, it’s got the PT6-67A engines and 5 blade props. Compared to the stock -60 engines and 4 blade props. Check out www.blackhawk.aero/upgrade/xp67a-engine-upgrade/

KSMO runway is 3/21 not 12/30. You took off and landed at two airports with 12/30 runways. KVIS does have a 12/30 runway though.

Can you explain the use of high and low idle to me as I see some KA350s flying with low and some with high? Are there specific requirements for when to use high or low idle and if so what are they? Many thanks, Lee

low idle on the ground, high idle in the air. that's all there is to it.

@@waholoopesorry74 after speaking with a real life KA pilot he told me high idle is only used in specific scenarios such as when loaded close to max MTOW or performing short field landings.

High idle is often used for starting the 2nd engine, for a boost to the starter. Also used on a very warm day for the air conditioning.
