What shape will their eyes be? Will they be small or big? 2. What skin tone will they be? Will they be white? Will they be yellowish? Will they be brown? 3. I hope the baby will have a nice nose. A high nose bridge is preferred but we will take not too flat and broad. Etc, etc. When I married a white man, we wondered everything from eye and hair color to shapes of facial features. I do not find it racist to wonder.

Speculating on whether a child will be a boy or a girl doesn't make one a sexist. It's also fine to wonder what colour eyes and hair they might have. Equally, except in the eyes of Harry and Megan, wondering about a child's complexion doesn't make you a racist.

As a woman of color, my family and my husband’s family speculated what our children would look like. Certainly the color of their skin was discussed. I guess both our families are racist, as are we. It is human nature to wonder what a baby will look like. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, the only way to get rid of racism is to stop talking about it.

My husband is of Māori descent and I have very pale skin with auburn hair. When we were having our first baby, many comments were made wondering how dark the babies skin would be. At no time did my husband or his relatives ever take a offence, as it was mostly his relatives, who were wondering even asking how white would they be. Was I offended not at all. It was a commonly asked question even total strangers would ask. As long as a question is not cause to offend but Is more out of curiosity Then that’s not offensive and should never be taken as such. And after all, it was not said to Megan as she had stated, and Harry couldn’t even get on the same page as her to get their story straight. I am ginger with pale skin, freckles and blue eyes. My husband had dark hair, hazel eyes and olive skin tone. Our son was pale with blonde hair and blue eyes. In his mid twentie he started going bald and his hair became dark. He has 6:51 a red beard. Genetics doesn't always work the way you think it might.

I don't understand why the entire discussion is about whoever said what the baby would look like. The conversation should be about the fact that Meghan stated that her child was not given the title of 'Prince' because he was from a mixed racial background. Look up Letters Patent of 1917. The late Queen did make an exception and declared that all children of William, the Duke of Cambridge (as he was then) should be granted the titles of prince or princess. She also decreed that the first child born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would inherit the throne, regardless of sex. So now Princess Charlotte is ahead of her brother, Prince Louis, in line to the throne.
