Franz Liszt in the nineteenth century said that the piano could express all the music known at the time. To demonstrate this, he transcribed Beethoven's symphonies for the piano. This video proves that not only was he absolutely right, but he even predicted that with a piano you could represent the best music that would exist a century later, like this splendid piece by King Crimson.

There is that sort of music where timbre and texture are as important parts as melody, harmony and rhythm are, and piano can't represent that well.
