I was 16 when I bought this album. I heard it through a couple of times. It didn't do much for me at first. But then i found myself humming some of the melodylines restless in bed at night. I put on the album again and then started listening to it every day. What a masterpiece this is. All the different parts and melodies. Now I'm 46 and i still find myself listening to it sometimes when I can't sleep. Thinking of life and all the things I should have done since 16. Life is precious and goes too fast. My advice is: Start a family. Have kids. Take care of the wife and your job. And sometimes put on this record and escape from everything. You can still do normal family stuff and be a heavy rocker at the same time.

Omg! It's too fucking good! It's bringing back memories of my youth. Boy did we have it good in the 80s. Kids today have NO idea how hard it was to put a record together. All analog tape, a lot of recording live. No fucking Autotune lmao. King WAS an auto tune! No quantifying etc....

Friday night. A carton of Marlboro Reds, some Old Grandad, and some shizzy weed. I'd bring half my drum kit over to my buddies and we'd air jam or plug in and jam all night. The 80s ruled because there were no rules for headbangers. Jeans jackets, ripped up blue or black jeans. Painters caps with your fave metal band.
