The song was lyrically inspired by our time in New York and we wanted to incorporate the city into the video in an interesting way. We love an old documentary short by D.A. Pennebaker from the 50’s called Daybreak Express, which is this super experimental piece of film that uses footage he shot of New York whilst riding trains, all edited to the groove and rhythm of a Duke Ellington song. It really uses the vibrancy and energy of the city in such a cool way, especially for the time it was made. We tried to use the spirit of this film and put our own spin on it, blending Super 8 footage with clips of Hannah singing, wearing a pink bob wig and looking nonchalant. This is such a great song and "Big swimmer" is definitely one of the best albums of 2024 so far! My favourite track is "John Prine💓 on the radio"! Thanks for the tip on Daybreak Express, it's gorgeous!!!😍💜

Liked it very much; the guitar, drums, the vocal harmony in the end. everything I find the vocals and certain parts of the melody have kind of a Cheekface vibes. great tune!

It's really something else. You have to physically go there to get why it's the flagship of the United States. It strangely almost has a small town feel because everyone has a sense of pride to be a New Yorker, and everyone will be aggressively helpful in telling you where the best place to eat is 😂
