He used to be literally unstoppable. Over the decades they changed him for story purposes. But at one point he easily took out Thor and Hulk. If anything, they are just turning back time to suit the story. Everyone is only as powerful as the writer wants them to be.

@@SuperDancingdonkey This was when he questioned his deeds and Cyytorak was denying him power. He would soon become Kuurth and Colossus would end up being Juggernaut. Was actually a good bit of back story they gave to Juggs leading up to him becoming Juggernaut again.

I've always wanted to know how Hyperion bends at the waist wearing that metal/ diaper belt thing. I mean, it extends from his crotch all the way up to his chest and doesn't seem to have any joints to it.

Not at this time. Juggs isn't always at the same power- level. Depends on his standing with Cytorrak.
