I am updating my king koil airmattress review. Don't waste your money on this mattress. Nov 2018, i bought a twin size. 7 months later, the air started to leak. Contacted king koil and they were nice enough to replace it with a new one because it was under warranty. June 2019, I received the replacement. It is now Feb. 2020, and the replacement is leaking air again. I think this might have something to do with the defect in the built in pump. Because the pump looks different than the pump from the first mattress. I contacted Patrick at king coil and said he cannot replace it again because the warranty is expired! I totally disagreed! because i think the replacement should have come with a new warranty. Both air mattresses did not even last a year.

I noticed you used an extension cord when plugging up the pump, could this possibly cause the pump to overheat and to smell?

I noticed that when you were actually lying on the mattress under a comforter there was no fitted sheet. In spite of saying a fitted sheet would fit, it looked like the sheet would never stay on. Was that the case?

Mine leaked air with less than 1 year limited use on an indoor hardwood floor.

Hi! I am between King Koil and Sound Asleep. Both seem good. Which one would you go with?

Excellent question. These mattresses are quite similar each with a waterproof top and a non-slip bottom. The air coil technology they both feature provides great support. As a cat owner, I do like that SoundAsleep uses anti-puncture material. King Koil is unique in that it has a built-in pillow, so this is a good feature for the minimalist when it comes to packing.

First off, thank for the good review. How the bed doing ? I’m about to have a 1weeks camping, would like to get one but not sure it it have any holes after a month used or not

Thanks! Always glad to help our viewers pick the right mattress! After a month of use, I had not run into any issues. Of course, I don't use it often, nor should you overuse an air mattress. I hope you enjoy your camping trip! The thick, water-resistant comfort quilt top and ultra grip bottom to keep the mattress stationary on tent floors make it convenient to use for camping. Just make sure you have access to a power outlet!

The Sleep Judge it looks like you can use an external pump if you don’t have an outlet. Coleman has a fast pump in 3 versions: battery, 12v, and 110v external pump for backup. Do you prefer the king coil or Coleman air matress overall including durability?

Can u use a 4d battery pumper to pump this bed up? As sometimes you cant plug it to the wall

Unfortunately, you have to use the internal pump, so an outlet is required.
