King Krule - Rock Bottom Piano Cover
We're back again with another King Krule cover! I had such a blast with this one, I think it's been my favourite one so far. There's so much going on in this song, and it's just so moving. With this one, I really just wanted to stay as true as I could to the original and recreate it on the piano.
Also, I decided that it was about time I levelled up my production by recording it on my real piano instead of through Midi. I wanted it to feel even more real, and higher quality, more authentic. Though, with that came literally 10x more work, because recording an actual piano is 10x harder than recording a Midi. Why? I can edit midi notes, so if I make a few wrong notes in the performance, I can delete them afterwards. This is not possible on a real piano. I become 10x more of a perfectionist, and I stay in that room until I get a perfect take with no wrong notes. It required 10x more rehearsal. This one (and 2 other songs I recorded in the same session) actually defeated me the first day, hours of recording and I failed - the camera batteries all died, so I had to come back the next day and nail it. I think this one is between take 20-30. That said, I really appreciate your kind comments and your support. I spend a lot of time making these and I hope you enjoy them!
