It is the festive season - the time for family trouble. Now although conflicts have to be carried out, don’t burn the bridges after the traditional family row under the Christmas tree. Otherwise - well, KING LEAR might happen. Michael Sommer and his Playmobil ensemble present a concise and entertaining version of Shakespeare’s tragedy. KING LEAR: A NEW INTRODUCTION kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r5mqarFimNOtonk.html "King Lear Unread" would have been a better title. A materialist reading basically, but without debunking the canonicity of either King Lear or William Shakespeare, because "RIPENESS IS ALL"
