Ironically the iambic pentameter line was in iambic pentameter in other words, five unstressed syllables followed by five stressed syllables. Incredible wordplay...

In an old video of Los’s he talks about how he invented this style of rapping called “reverse pattern rap” and it’s just like you said. You spit a bar, then spit it backwards & it still makes sense. I think in poetry it’s called “bilateral symmetry”. & someone who used to do something similar is Big L, but he did it with syllables. & go figure, that’s one of Los’s inspirations.... rap is a beautiful thing. "Why is he not mainstream" Welcome to the latest generation. Where people who actually have serious talent in music are shoved to the side for substance-less repetition and good beats. Artists like this only have a chance of going mainstream if they're able to produce a mainstream sound, which is so damn easy that it's hard to do.

The first time I heard Los rap to this beat I was literally speechless. To this day, ever since I heard this freestyle I have yet to listen to Drake's original version of the song & honestly I probably never will. You guys should react to his Control remix, even Kendrick Lamar said that King Los had the best remix to it, which is saying a lot, not only because Kendricks verse was the reason that song was so relevant and he's the one saying it, but because everybody did a remix to that joint and King Los was the only name Kendrick brought up when asked about it
