To be fair- I've used these kinds of things to evaluate like upland border dog pups(so cute) and the ability to think on their own and be curious is an important trait. It's why like english setters can be kind of rough to train though. Require A LOT of attention. Super sweet and cute

Temperament test means nothing until roughly teething stage is done. The most outgoing pup can be the most anxious introvert after 7-8 months.

My puppies were always pretty energetic, even around this age, but they were very relaxed and stretchy/yawny when first being let out of their crates after resting. So I agree that their test told them absolutely nothing about his temperament at that point. Labs are normally pretty high energy, so he clearly is just not fully awake yet.

I've only ever done temperament tests on field-bred springer spaniel pups & the difference is astounding!

Definitely a house-pet temperment and not an active working dog temperment. The (sporty/ hunting/ working) Labs my mom raised were like fuzzy crocodiles and would pounce and retrieve anything at any time. You guys did a good job with your bloodline. Very sweet and docile❤️
