For a while i was like: "Man the only thing missing from 98' UM is the anime intro from the Dreamcast version." Then i beat all 64 Fighters in survival and unlocked it. BAM! Definitive Edition! But then i was like: "Man the only thing missing in the anime intro is the epic rap from the old intro." Guess you can't get everything you want =)

@drakodude2 This intro is not from an anime. It's from the Japanese exclusive Sega Dreamcast title; King of Fighters: Dream Match 99, a re-release of King of Fighters 98 for that console.

yes there is, for the sega dreamcast, it uses this same intro and the game kicks ass.

This is King of Fighters 98. It came to America in 1999 so SNK decided to change the title to the King of Fighters Dream Match 1999 to reflect the year it came in America. Don't get this confused with the King of Fighters 99.

i used to own this game, its KOF dream match 1999 not 98. it rocked!! this game didnt follow any storyline and had a lot of characters, thats why its called dream match.

This is "The King of Fighters 98: Dream Match Never Ends" which was originally released on the NeoGeo. But it was released so late on the Dreamcast that it was called "The King of Fighters: Dream Match 1999". When the real King of Fighters 99 was released for Dreamcast it was called "The King of Fighters '99: Evolution". I know it's confusing, but the character lineup alone should give you a clue as to what game this is.

Yea I had it for dreamcast it does say 99 on the CD but yea the game is 98.

maaan i remember this intro had a different song.... and i cant for the life of me find it..

There is noway this is 99, its obviously Kof 98 for many reasons: 1. All teams/characters on this vedio are from Kof98 and none from kof99 were in it. 2. kof99 was never called "Dream match" but something else that I can't recall. 3. K' is nowhere in this vedio, btw K' is the main hero of kof99,not Kyo. 4. The drawing style matches many illustrations shown on Kof98 console version.

The only bad things about this intro is that the girls faces look manly. Other than that I love it.
