why is that bad though? I don't understand everyone crying about this. Should a skater not play to their strengths in a contest? Btw Dilo also sent a lot of letters with manual combos which is something you rarely see in contests at all. It's exactly the same as a skater winning by doing all ledge tricks which is what usually happens.

Exactly. Everyone bitching about switch ollies...he did one...but like other dude didn't go dirty and miss his switch late flip. As someone who can do both sw heel manual and sw flip manual, I don't agree. That manual pad at macba has a very mellow incline. Not enough incline to make any significant difference for skaters with a different stance.

Adriel had his chance to win the game, but FS Flip in defense, Ollie to Nosemanual in defense and his sw Lateflip did not work out… so that‘s the game… btw he didn‘t do the sw ollie picknick-table fuckin‘ close…. So it‘s a earned victory for Dilo 🤝

Thanks for this series, it was fun. A couple thoughts for next year that might be interesting.. if a trick is thrown that the other skater won't even try. That's two letters. And every trick can only be done once during the entire contest. Which would make the skaters have to save their best tricks longer knowing they can only bust them out once. Awesome contest!

People hating on this series, i get it but a perfect series is possible with this set of rules. Its either making one spot available (one ledge, stair, flat or rail only) or you get games like this. Dilo and Adriel both did the exact same stuff throughout the whole tournament, it was only a matter of who was most consistent.

This is such an interesting format. It really highlights each skater's varied bag of tricks. At BATB, you kind of know what to study for the test, but MACBA tests a lifetime of diverse trick selection.

Good game, very difficult trick selection. This season was good, and Bastien is a positive addition. You guys gotta do something about that intro. No one wants a Macba history lesson before every game. I’d like to see longer edits for games, and a far shorter intro.

The only rule that is needed going forward: You cannot repeat tricks from previous games. It would make it waaay more fair and interesting. To be honest, I would also add no ollies or nollies.

King of Macba make sense if playing locals only, especially historical ones, like Flo, Luy Pa, Lebron, Enrique, Musta, no any random dudes who never been a part of Bcn skate community. Adrien, as local, is the winner because even the downhill manny pad tricks are incorrect if the opponent got a different stance:fs 180 ss manny work better for a regular stance, if you are goofy you forced to try in the difficult way uphill or alley oop... That's not fair.

Adriel has become one of my favorite skaters. Incredibly talented, clean, and consistent. Being opposite stance likely cost him the game. Dilo is a beast and earned his spot, but Adriel stands out more to me.

The only problem is that the spots aren’t the same for both stances. Need a rule that the tricks have to be stance neutral. Still think these two have way different tricks, and was a tough contest- but the manny pad feels a little cheesy when it’s so different based on stance.
