I was watching this on tv years ago and my dad was all "What's wrong with being Canadian?". I tried to make him understand by telling him "Imagine you found out you were not only an American but from California". He has big issues with Cali.

Technically, Doug would be ok to run for president as both his parents are American citizens (born and raised). You don't actually have to be born in the US to become president.
