I gotta say, this lovely tribute is bringing a bit of a tear to my eye and i never cry, but people are literally so quick to forget... Back when MJ was alive you had celebs losing their minds over him. The celebs that used to present him awards were either in awe (Princess Stefanie of Monaco) or nervous as hell (Morgan Freeman etc). At award shows the screams were deafening and he always got a standing ovation FROM HIS PEERS. You'll never see this again. He was an exceptional human being. Next level shit. Absolutely shook the world for decades.

Truly goes to show the immense impact Michael still has today 14 years later. In fashion, music, dance, philanthropy, anything, he still untouched. Michael was in a league of his own, no one will ever come close to him. No artist can ever do what he did and they can only dream of it. BTS, Weeknd and every other artist ain't got nothing on Michael. Sure they can try to emulate his moves and dance like him or take inspiration, but they won't come close to how the king did it. He had a talent like nothing the world has ever seen and was a tremendous loss to the world and music. His music is some of the best ever created and is timeless. From some of the songs that make you want to get up and dance, like Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat it, The way you make me feel, Bad, Smooth Criminal, etc, to some of the ones that are more serious and address global issues to bring change, like Black or White, They don't care about us, Earth song etc. He was literally known in every country, and every place you could imagine around the world and even places you wouldn’t expect, and no other artist or band can say that. Michael forever remains an enduring and influential icon for the rest of time and cannot be touched, by a k-pop band or solo artist, nobody.

Agree totally. You only have to look at his arrival moments on KZfaq. Munich 99 was one of them. Then you had millions more, but the Wetten Dass in 99 too when the crowd didn't shut up, then when he spoke they started crying. Crying!! MJ was my idol growing up in 80s and he was mythical to all. An exceptional human being. Serious next level he was.

But one of the first videos I ever watch was probably the 30th anniversary in 2001 at MSG just to name one as I can’t remember the first video I ever watched. Truly mind blowing what I saw and then from that point forward it sparked more interest in me to research more and learn about him and that’s when I found out everything about Michael Jackson and watched a lot more videos about him. Videos from all three of his tours to music videos, interviews, etc. And that’s when I learned he’s forever the king of pop, and learned about the sheer impact he had on the world.

Every time we see/hear/watch Michael Jackson, my grandmother, mother (who wasn't really a fan), and myself are warped back to the simpler time of my childhood and their younger years. Amazing how I can almost feel the memories attached to some of these songs/videos... and even the outfits!

If there is something that Michael Jackson taught me without a doubt, it would be to pursue my dreams no matter how crazy, stupid, exorbitant or impossible they look, if they do not harm me or anyone else I have to fight to fulfill them. And thanks to the Michael Jackson estate team for continuing to uphold his legacy, it's a complicated thing and sometimes we fans go crazy, but they try to give us the best they can.
