Because it's a TV show that needs conflict. It's also to show how stupid the average person is and how thoughtless they are. Happens a lot of times in the show where someone tells people what they want to hear, or makes someone the bad guy and no one asks why, just believes it.

Which is surprising to me considering Bill is a Sargeant in the Army. Sargeant is usually the first rank achieved where you become a leader and are in charge of other soldiers below you. I don't understand how he reached that rank, or how he maintains it or his soldiers under him.

Being a barber would probably be similar to a cook to where his little squad of 3 or 4 guys would be attached to a much larger unit of maybe a few hundred soldiers who actually have a important job so to speak. @@Bout_TreeFiddyseason 4 was the last season before things started to change. Both original show runners from season 1 and 2 were no longer doing it after season 4. I still enjoy season 7+ but the quality of those early episodes definitely shine.

About what? He supported Bobby for long enough to know he had no real talent. I don't think he was ever "mean", just trying to be realistic so Bobby wasn't crushed. In the episode Bobby was humiliated because even he knew he was letting everyone down. Even though Hank was embarrassed to have a son who was a poor player, he still let him enrol and play in games. In case you didn't notice, the parents of bad players get shit from the other parents in the stands, (which is f*cked up in itself). Also Bobby probably liked playing due to the social aspect rather than the game itself. It's very easy to get kids excited and build them up, then the next week they are interested in something else.

Bill is power hungry and wants purpose in his life since nothing much is happening in said life. The coach is delusional and supportive, though good in moderation, but took it wayyyyy too far making it toxic positivity. If it takes someone to be mean to show you what being realistic and genuine is then so be it. I rather take the ugly truth than beautiful lies.

It’s the biggest problem I have with the show: The strict conformity to gender norms, especially in a time when our economy necessitates working women. And if we are working, and we are expected to continue having children, it means men will sometimes need to pick up slack as caregivers and homemakers. Especially in households where the woman is the primary or sole earner.

@@shadywiskerzyes the writers strikes caused a setback, they were given the ok for one season through Hulu. Johnny Hardwick had recorded a ton of material for the new series before his passing. Toby Huss will most likely not portray Kahn in the new series, as Cotton has died in the series and they’ll most likely recast the voice actor. The new series is supposed to take place with a 15 year time jump, so it’ll will be interesting to see how it goes down. It will be hard not having Dale, LuAnne and Lucky as we’ve lost (Johnny Hardwick, Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty) since the previous finale.

Damn, but I’m grateful to have such greatness in my life time. They will be missed may they rest in peace
