I honestly don't know what's weirder. The fact he got all that food for a single buck, that Hank thinks it's 1930 and a single dollar could kickstart any capitalistic enterprise, that Bobby is a ravenous animal child that must gorge on his bean burrito right outside of the main home entrance, or that KZfaq felt is was imperative that this should show up in my recommended feed.

@Sardonicus Perhaps Dollar Tree is relatively new to your geographical area, but such stores certainly did exist and were quite common in many areas in the 1990s. "99¢ Only," "Dollar Bill$, Inc.," and "Dollar Store" were other commonly-seen chains, and plenty of independent businesses followed the same format. The business model you're describing exists, too, but not to the exclusion of stores that actually do sell everything for ninety-nine cents or a dollar. It's unfortunate that you wrote such a hostile second paragraph, because many people who remember dollar stores being around in the 1990s and even before are surely noticing the fact that you are actually the one to whom your own "ad hominem attack" actually applies. The irony is that you actually would have been right that one dollar would usually not have covered multiple items - shoe polish AND a brush - at such a store, but you became incorrect by insisting that something didn't exist until you personally came across it.

@@DeathSithe92 I think Hank is a good example of rising above one's own upbringing. Despite Cotton being a faithless, absent and emotionally abusive father figure Hank still managed to turn out alright. He desperately doesn't want to be like his own father, so He goes out of his way to try and I still his own positive self-taught values in Bobby. It's just that his expectations are extremely unrealistic and, in a way that's different but similar to his own upbringing, he himself is absent emotionally from Bobby as a father.

If I did that in my front door step, My family would've thought I've been possessed by a demon!!!
