I can't figure it out. I'm a 45 year old American. I was around before the Internet and we were taught way back then that the Queen's guard and all of the soldiers were there doing a job and not for entertainment. My father was military, and did Ceremonial Duty a few times. Especially on Memorial Day, or Remebrance Day here in Canada. He did Ceremonial Duty at the National Cemetary where the fallen are buried. He stood guard over them. Until after the Remembrance Day Ceremonies at the National Cenetaph. Them he was relieved of duty, and allowed to go about his regular job in the military. I’d love it if the police seized their phones and if they have enhanced, for want if a better word, the photos etc to make the guard look stupid and posted on the internet, then they should be prosecuted and fined a lot of money for doing that to our forces.
