Just a few days ago King Salman of Saudi Arabia passed a series of royal decrees meant to smoothen the transition of power from the second-generation princes to the third-generation princes. Salman will be the last king of the second generation as he replaced his half-brother Muqrin bin Abdulaziz with Muhammad bin Nayef as Crown Prince. Furthermore, Salman’s favourite son, Muhammad bin Salman, was appointed as the new Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. These and a dozen more cabinet and governmental changes were publicly announced in the early morning hours of 29th April.
At first glance, most of the decisions make sense, as the country was bound to shift from the second generation to the third generation. However a closer look at the events reveals that underneath the reforms, King Salman had ulterior motives, including the strengthening of his own clan, the next generation of Sudairis.
In a country where change is often slow and discreet, this reshuffling of the Saudi leadership is nothing less than groundbreaking. Some might even call it revolutionary while others might call it a palace coup within the House of Saud.

as a saudi, i really like the video, because its explains many detail things that some of the Saudis don't even know. but i would like to point that the past foreign minister prince saud al fisal wasnt removed by the king, he is old and sick, and he is getting worst with age, he is the oldest foreign minister in the world, hes very intelligent and powerful, and he left the position for health purposes, but Saudi Arabia will keep taking his advice until he past away. the prince saud is the son of the 3rd king, king fisal the most powerful king in the Arab and the modern Islamic history, he is the one who cut trading oil with the american, and waged war against Israel and supported Egypt and Pakistan and made the Islamic and Arab league. after 6 years he was assassinated .

Serdar Emin actually king salman is against over throw muhammed morsi, but it was the king abdullah orders and nothing he can do, but after he became a king the relation with egypt has changed, king salman dont want any further bloodshed in egypt, he wants find a solution for the brother hood, but sisi wants to kill them, in fact Qatar was supporting brotherhood and against saudi policy , but when king salman became a king he was supported by Qatar because they know the new Saudi policy is different now.

+greg MC greg why you inter in other countries business if you are atheist deal with your bulshit communist president puttin <<ye ergo zimb>> don't inter and comment in any countries agenda like America ,America interred in any affair of the Muslim world, the Muslim world have its own history of science and politics were science and social life go in hand in hand with religion Islam unlike that of Christian and Jews even atheist like you were church and science is completely separated know that you don't do your history or there is no Christian science and politics in history but Muslims made their own history of science what ever the ethnic is black or white they have their common history of science and social development but you atheist and Christians do not have any historical science by the name of Christian civilization know that you can't make any civilization except were religion and science are totally separated from the church b/c science and church are fire and water to each other like in Italy during Renascence so you do scientific development but only when you were divided deeply by ethnicity and country but in Islam there is no such kind of division in ethnicity Muslims do history together in their domain, i.e Islam but you do based on countries separately so gerg really you atheist and kafir continue your journey after some time you will totally forgotten in history you atheist bullshit i am from east Africa <<Muslims made history together>> unlike that of you.

Matthew Pavlantos You can't imagine, because you have never been one of Al Saud's Princes. It is a very tense issue to debate a decree made by an elder King. Even the prince's themselves don't argue about the crown not even in their most private meetings. Believe me I have had many friends from the house of Saud some of full royal blood and some with a half royal blood. Things differ drastically from any kingdom you have ever witnessed. The perception of being the KING in the eyes of those princes is not a Game of Thrones fantasy like many would perceive it is a fate set from the child's own birth.

Zaid Ali Thank you for enlightening me on this. Being an American, I'm obviously not apt to know about the inner workings of Saudi politics. I just figured everyone being human, they wouldn't give up their position without a fight. But obviously there's a lot more at play than just a power.grab

Matthew Pavlantos I hope you've realized by now that all radical Sunni Muslim extremism stems from the royal pieces of shit you see in the video... The ones you call allies funded the resistance that fucked your troops in the ass in Iraq, and then the next generation of shitheads funded and created ISIS. My advice to you Ameri-cunts is to broker the nuclear deal with Iran already, and use your power to destroy ISIS and the Saudi royal family. Then maybe, just maybe whatever's left of Syria might still forgive you.

I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, a truly fascinating place if you are into intrigue. There are many equally spell binding stories of past European Kings, Cardinals, charlatans, to rival the Saudi Dynasty. The difference is that they are now a part of ancient history. The Saudi story is NOW. If only Western leaders would take the time to educate themselves on the history of the Kingdom of Saud, many of those missteps could have been anticipated and avoided. lIn truth, the US is an amateur in geopolitics. There is no understanding of diplomatic etiquette. It's like letting a bull loose in a China shop, bouncing off walls destroying everything in its way because it can. No finesse whatsoever. The US has chosen to impose its will relying on military might, thereby exposing its own weaknesses. The Saudis are streets ahead and are playing the US for all its worth. It's almost like throwing a ferocious dog a bone to keep it distracted while you go about your business. This video report is about the best thing out there for anyone with a hunger for knowledge. The authors are to be complimented for its unbiased presentation.

***** I presume you worked there from your comment. To the Saudis, if you worked and were paid by them you are, in thee mainir minds, lesser than them. That they treated whites differently was due in the main to the fact that whites were doing jobs they didn't have the expertise to do. In my experience, my Japanese colleagues, though Asian, were treated with much respect. I guess it's because the Japanese and the whites made products the world wanted. Other Asian nations, though educated, were not known for having built or invented something. They treat other Arab nationalities the same way for the very same reason.

***** Actually you're misinformed. I ran part of a large company that sold trucks, cars, speedboats to the coast guard, built airports, imported passenger buses from Germany to carry passengers from planes to the arrivals. owned farms in Africa, imported sheep by the thousands to celebrate the end of Ramadan. All the management was EUROPEAN. The owners had a string of jewellery boutiques and owned a hotel in Boston. All the sons attended universities in Britain and Switzerland. The image you have has more to do with the past. If you visit Dubai which is far more westernized because its discovery of gas is more recent you would be shocked. Their airport puts any US airport to shame. THEIR airline and aircrew make the US planes and crew look like color relatives. They have malls , ATM s that dispense gold bars, an a ski slope in the middle of mall. Their hotels are all French managed. Construction is done by imported labor from India. You've got to remember the Gulf region and Saudi Arabia are competitively young, about 70 years so nice oil was discovered. Naturally they still follow their strict religion. It's a case of learning to live within their laws. It's the same anywhere in the world. In all the time I lived there with my family I never had to worry about locking my front door. Hospitals were, probably still are, FREE. Local calls all Free. No tax. Schools Free. Gas was 70 cents a gallon. They are home to the major golf and tennis tournaments and even Formula One Racing. Kuwait too is a modern City. Don't believe everything you read or hear.

***** What period are you talking about? Sure, there are things that happen that aren't kosher, but you've got to remember that Saudi Arabia is still a feudal society and there are societal problems there will take a couple of decades to outgrow. No place is perfect. Try listening to the debates going on now in the US for the Presidency. There's a lot of stuff you wouldn't be proud of going on. What was your uncle doing out there if I may ask?

+Adam Sahr You have no idea how it works in Arabia, but let me tell one thing "We are happy and 100% supporting the king in his action in our region." Also, the previous king was more generous than most of the Saudi kings, however, his kindness were misunderstood by some nations!, and they thought we are weak and fear of facing them. Now, we will make peace in the region either by negotiations or by wars.

🤡 COMPARE THESE TWO ARGUMENTS "Islam endorses war (jihad) to impose its law (Sharia) across the world. Therefore, Islam approves of killing people across the world. Muslims are dangerous - your Muslim neighbor literally wants to knife your little daughter and then blow up the local McDonalds." "Liberalism endorses war (e.g., colonialism, humanitarian intervention, military occupation) to impose its law (international human rights law) across the world. Therefore liberalism approves of killing people across the world. Liberals are dangerous - your liberal neighbor literally wants to knife your little daughter and then blow up the local mosque." Why do so many idiots find the first argument logical and compelling, while they find the second argument illogical and absurd? Aren't both arguments illogical and absurd? Do you want to know why the US is broken and subject to an increasingly totalitarian surveillance regime? It is because the American people allowed themselves to be duped by absurd arguments into endorsing the "Global War on Terrorism" - spending 8 trillion dollars and agreeing to give the government unlimited surveillance/policing powers in the name of "fighting terrorism/extremism" as characterized by the first argument above.

Wow. Amazing video and music. Loved it. This is medieval Lion King style palace drama. It's pretty damn cool. Whatever the heck they do, they better do something about sending money to IS in the name of fighting Iran. They gotta stop feeding IS.

I like how you try to explain everything very carefully as if all these actions and decisions are very well thought of. like they are the ones really in power. you're either naive or just well never mind. besides, caspianreport, did you really think all this info is shared with you? i really admire your attempt to make a video like this and you have some good skills but on these subjects you need to learn more, maybe it's a matter of ago. savol

To summarize this video : Saudi Arabia is a country where we can only get headlines and rarely any details due to their strict ruling. So let's just mix up some conspiracy talk , and the rest of the world will agree since no one really knows what's going on. I'd like to hear about the politics of this channel's origins instead of some middle eastern country.

Congratulations King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz the crowning of Saudi Arabia, INSTEAD OF YOUR EXCESSOR PRINCE MIQRIN BIN ABUL-AZIZ. May Allah Led King Abdullah rest in peace, he was a very passionate king for all the good causes we worked for in this last century. Today, the famous world boxer Muhammad Ali died too at the age 74. I hope all rest in their ultimate rest OF PIECE!!!!!!
