There's more than one King David movie. I enjoyed two that I watched,including David and Bathsheba (old school film with Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward) but some of the Biblical stories aren't exactly correct according to the scriptures,but as movies have the overall story right. Some of them do say from the outset that there have been changes for dramatic effect. Personally,I think if a Bible story is going to be told,it should be as it is told in the Bible and not divert from the written word. It is after all the Holy book,which deserves the respect and honor of being portrayed truthfully,otherwise,what's the point of advertising it as a 'Bible story?' Just my opinion of course.

you are correct that its not a sexual poem.. song of songs is much deeper then what it seems on the surface. also, reading it in any language besides hebrew will never be able to understand it true meanings.. i just want to add that its not between the soul and christ, its between the soul and or the nation of israel with the almighty one G-d, the creator of the universe
