2:50, there’s actually a story about an 8,8 shooting through the front of a Sherman, knocking the engine out the back which ended up killing infantry that were using the tank as cover “When the German guns started firing everyone got quiet, even the Germans”
@KillerT-Bone
@KillerT-Bone Жыл бұрын
I highly doubt it’s true. Yes, the 88 was strong but there is no way it could’ve gone through the Sherman’s front armor and continue going through the engine compartment and out the rear.
@Scuzzlebutt-
@Scuzzlebutt- Жыл бұрын
@@KillerT-Bone There is enough Proof, Veteran reports and even pictures of M4 Shermans that got knocked out because an 88 Penetrated the Front armor . The name "Tommy Cooker" was not without reason.
@KillerT-Bone
@KillerT-Bone Жыл бұрын
@@Scuzzlebutt- it got the name “tommy cooker” because British crews overstocked the tank with ammunition, making fires more common. However when you get into late 1944 with the wet ammunition stowage, the burn rate significantly decreased
@Scuzzlebutt-
@Scuzzlebutt- Жыл бұрын
@@KillerT-Bone Nope that is wrong, the M4 Sherman got that name because, who had thought it, most of the time it blew up because the ammo was hit and blew up as soon as the armor got Penetrated (there are enough documentations about that and why it was called the Tommy cooker, just watch them)
@KillerT-Bone
@KillerT-Bone Жыл бұрын
@@Scuzzlebutt- yes, and it blew up often because British crews overstocked on ammunition, and this problem was only common in North Africa, not Italy or Europe. And either way, German tanks had the same burn rate as early Shermans in North Africa, so I don’t see your point.

Ping us at anytime! Small suggestions: Think about your story as chapters and have clear visual/audio delineations for the chapters. For visuals, that could be establishing shots, followed by close ups. For audio, it could be change in music/tempo. The ending sequence would benefit greatly from this delineation. Again, always proud of what you guys are doing! Good luck with your PSAT!
