Bro.. you won’t regret if you review the entire BOW DOWN album. This came out at the height of the east west coast beef. Album is unbelievably produced! It’s hardcore g shit. Like Chronic and Doggystyle are more smooth. This album is a west coast classic and just hardcore crip walk type music. And lyrically they all snap. Thank me later. Peace . ✌️

You just don’t know enough about the west coast, man. And Cube is goated, but there’s some incredible lyricists from out West like Yukmouth, Boots from The Coup, Blu, Ras Kass, ALL of Horshoe Gang, Kxng Crooked, Jurassic 5, Souls of Mischief, Del The Funky Homosapien (who is actually Cube’s cousin), Pharcyde, Spice-1, E-40, Mac Dre. Bruh you’ve slept heavily on the west.

What? Someone reviewing Westside Connection? Great review man Just think of this : the parties and the clubs when this music was banging. The bass was nice. Over here we had this event that the radio station did every weekend. All the low riders and just every kind of car rolled up in this stadium parking lot by the highway. At the same time they played the song for the "Bottom of the Hour Bass". If you were passing by on the highway, you heard it. You FELT it. Just BOOOOOOOM. All of the cars and trucks. This was one of my favorites. But then again I had many lol Im new here hoping for some more 90's rap. Shoot pop, country, rock, ect. It was an amazing decade. Oh yeah, WEST SIIIIDE

1990-1999 has a case for the best era in hip-hop, focus was still on Lyrics , the rhyming schemes and cadence, and all that intersected with some of the hardest beats. just before things turned commercial

I'm not sure who produced the west side connections beats, but them joints slap. Excellent songs, but it was technically against the law to listen to WSC where I lived in New York. We gave cube so much love and support when he broke from nwa, but it seems like he came back and smacked us all in the face when he got w Westside Connection. I still want to hear the album, though. Please review it. From what I remember, those beats were hard ass Westcoast beats and that song with Nate on the hook was FIRE... even though it, like this, were definitely East Coast diss songs.

Ice Cube is the best lyricist from the West coast without a doubt. Kurrupt is 2nd as a lyricist, the entire Dogg Pound and Snoop know Cube is the greatest. Cube is top 3 as an emcee of all time.

One of my faves, from back in the day, is Da Brat. Her first two albums. Bangers. I know she's from Chicago but, her style is definitely west coast. Remember, they tried to say she was trying to sound like Snoop or Tha Dogg Pound. Hence her lyric, "Trying to sound like Da Pound. Plus, my shit was wack." IMO, the hardest female MC ever. When she was on top of her game.
