I remember listening to this when Dolby Surround first came out, hearing rain through one speaker, SFX through another, hearing the narrative spit so smoothly, shit gave me chills as a teenager.
@dfree1442
@dfree1442 2 жыл бұрын
If you have a surround sound, put it on Dolby Pro Logic with the surround effect on. You'll hear the rain come out of all 5 speakers, with Biggie rapping out the center Channel, and the sound effects coming out of the other speakers wherever the producer/sound engineer had the sound sent to. Leave it like that for all music, and you'll hear it in a way you never have before.

When he first came out, his rap moniker WAS Biggie Smalls, but then he found out that there was another artist who already had that name, and that artist's lawyers sent him a letter demanding that he cease and desist using that name, or they were gonna sue him. So, after that, he changed his name to The Notorious BIG., or just BIG.

Actually, he started out as Biggie Smalls, after the character in the 1975 movie "Let's Do It Again" with Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier. BUT, the actor who portrayed the character in the movie, Calvin Lockhart sued him, so he had to "officially" change his name to The Notorious B.I.G.. Everybody still called him Biggie or Biggie Smalls and it wasn't much that could be done cause it wasn't his official name, just a moniker he went by like Frank White or many other names Biggie was know as...

@@michaelvega3157 Actually, the white raper was Tupacs friend. Tupac asked him to change his name. BUT, the official reason of why he officially went to the The Notorious B.I>g> was because of the reason I stated above. It's well documented. Plus, the white rapper was one of five people at the time using Biggie Smalls, four of them were associated with Tupac. His name change was more marketing at that time....
