exactly, his secret to longevity and the sign of his skill as an emcee is his ability to switch flows and ride any beat. He doesn't go for being overly intricate to the point of rapping in riddles, yet still have dense enough rhyme schemes to remain top tier lyricist.

Vol 1 gets hated on too much. It’s definitely his most underrated album along with American Gangster. Top 5 definitely. Remove I Know What Girls Like and Sunshine and it’s a classic. DJ Premier is the best. R.I.P. Aaliyah.

The Blueprint was his first album that was really huge. I remember waking up early to buy it the day it came out (9/11) and there was nobody on the road, went to a couple music stores that were closed. I was like wtf. Then I found out what was going on. On top of that Walmart used to only sell censored cd's so I had to buy it again
