Major mistake on my behalf! As it's been a while I completely forgot that the Player character isn't xehanort but rather the caretaker who took xehanort from Scala to Destiny Islands and looked after him until the events of Dark Road.

Glad to see you at least acknowledged the oopsie; Regardless, yeah, the player character in Missing Link IS the player from Union Cross in a different body, which is why the Station shown is connected to the Dandelions.

Actually, it’s been confirmed in Dark Road that Union Cross’s player character doesn’t reincarnate into Xehanort, but his caretaker, evident being the beginning scenes on Destiny Island, when Xehanort looks into his caretaker’s heart.

Should mention HMK in his Missing Link analysis and theories video brought up the point that the player character in Missing Link IS the reincarnation of the player character from Union Cross, who now goes through their new life in Missing Link leading up to the player character taking care of Xehanort and finally dying.

Our player character doesn’t become Xehabort, we learned that at the end of Dark Road. They are the robed figure who watches over him instead.

The Union Cross playable character is not Xehanort but his caretaker who is The Reincarnation of the playable character in Union Cross and Xehanort was able to look into his/her heart and see his/her memories.

The secret ending of Dark Road reveals that the Player is the caretaker of Xehanort. It also mentions that the Player had two lives. It's possible that Missing Link is the Player's second life.

I wonder if it's possible that the tropical world could be Destiny Island. Would be cool to finally show more of the island and maybe explore it. Also would be an interesting way to further show Xehanort's connection to it. Maybe see him arrive there as a baby.

Xehanort is a descendant of ephemer, while the player character in missing link is a reincarnation of the player character in KHUX, as confirmed in the ending of Dark Road.

I thought you already knew this so I hate to break it to you like this, but UX's Player Character DID NOT reincarnate into Xehanort, but into his caretaker, as was revealed in the final DR cutscene Edit: Also, I can't remember if this has been confirmed, but they're also Missing Link's Player Character Edit 2: I went back to check your DR reaction and you definitely caught that UX's MC isn't Xheanort, but the old man taking care of him. So I guess you just completely forgot XD

I personally think that the 'New' world is Nomanisan Island from The Incredibles. The features here mirror the features in the film and it kinda ties into the whole 'Secret Society' storyline that seems to be forming in Missing Link. This also saves Moana from being trapped on a mobile game because I think you can get some really beautiful sea-fairing gimmicks and set pieces if that world was saved for KH4 or onward.

I think it would be cool if it turns out the new core isn't aligned with a single element like the existing cores, but is instead a black mage core and is able to swap elemental alignments on the fly. I'm not saying I would mind if it turns out to be just another single element core, I just think an enemy with the capability to change its element and possibly its fighting style would be an interesting mechanic

4:51. Incorrect; Dark Road confirms the player character from Union Cross is the same as the one from Missing Link. Furthermore, the end of Dark Road also debunks this theory as the blue robed figure is actually the player from Union Cross: Xehanort just felt their heart, allowing him to see some of the player's memories from the time of Union Cross. However, even the recent Missing Link trailer debunks this even more as, right at the start of the trailer, the player is shown floating above a Station showing Ephemer, Skuld, and Chirithy with their art being ripped straight from X Back Cover. Therefore, NO, the player from Union Cross doesn't reincarnate as Xehanort; Don't get why you're saying this when you directly watched the ending of Dark Road.

Odd. If you look at the towers of Daybreak Town and Scala ad Caelum, they look inverted. I wonder if you could look at Land of Departure & Castle Oblivion and see the same. Like, if Daybreak was sealed with a Master Keyblade and transformed to seal a great darkness (distortion) away? Edit: Never mind, he mentioned it around 11:30.

Chances are it's meant to be the player's Station; The characters just at the forefront typically represent those that are important to the person the Station belongs to, which makes sense for the player character from Union Cross as Ephemer, Skuld, and their Chirithy were their closest friends all the way up to the literal apocalypse.

I'm definitely on board, it looks really fun!! The only thing that worries me is just that I hope microtransactions and the GPS aspect of it don' turn me off making it frustrating rather than fun. I think with my KHUX experience I can power through the gacha system but I'm really worried about the GPS. I just hope that if you say travel by bus somewhere and want to play and join a raid event for example, it doesn't just disconnect straight away when you move from the area but lets you finish the event for example even if you keep moving. We shall see I guess...

Something interesting I noticed is that where as Eraqus wears white and Xehanort wears black. Their predecessors Brain and the Player wear the opposite colors to them, I know the player can wear anything but it the trailer they made sure to show they're in white. It makes me think that Brain and Player are going to have reverse philosophies to Eraqus and Xehanort but the same principles of Honor and Duty. Some one made a theory about Eraqus and Xehanort and how they relate to honor and duty but I can't remember who.

its a long shot guess, but Im saying the jungle world is the island from LOST, possibly set at the time period of Richard Alperts arrival on the Black Rock, aka the first moment darkness manipulates a person to attack the protector of the islands light

Astral plane is like dropping because in order to use the Astral plane you need to reach an out of body experience which is done while sleeping I think maybe it's all just a lucid dream.

As long as it isnt some gatcha style game like khux was, towards the end of khux it felt like you got nowhere unless you spent money and had to rely on the whales to see the more exclusive content. Lets hope they dont ruin the game with greed.

Watching this video got me thinking, and this may not be a brand new idea, but is KH about to pull an Attack On Titan plot twist like what happened with Eren? ☠️ That would be wild. I've definitely seen the thumbnails of videos from certain creators - "SoRa Is ThE mAsTeR oF mAsTeRs?!?!?!" - but I never watched them to hear an explanation lol. I'm just personally wondering if there's gonna be some sort of time travel/memory manipulation twist involving Sora at some point. We've already seen it with Xehanort so I don't think it'd be that far-fetched, just surprising that it happens with the MC.

This story has become so convoluted 😂 I can barely even remember if Brain is himself or Luxu took him over, or if Luxu took his name and went into hiding somewhere during this time? I don't know man. Kingdom Hearts always appeals to me cause of how weird the story is, I'm just worried it might turn newer players off.

Get with the times, man. UX player doesn't reincarnate as Xehanort. If I'm forced to go outside it's gonna be a pain in the ass, but it's Kingdom Hearts so it's something I'm somewhat willing to accept. It'll fucking suck though since I'd have to go outside during winter. I just hope being in such a niche country doesn't limit what I can encounter.

I feel like they could have just waited and announced the game now instead of last year. The same for KHIV in that regard. As very excited as I am for the story of the game, I cannot say the same for the gameplay just yet. After all, the execs of Square-Enix really loves the "moolah" that gacha games shell out, so I'm a bit skeptical how much padding there will be. Not to mention, we don't know the manner they plan to release the story. I'm hoping nowhere near as bad as it took to release the main story beats of the Unchained/Union Cross, let alone how long localization took each time. Which leads me to wonder if they plan to do a proper English dub of the Missing Link cutscenes since it's just a mobile game. I wouldn't be disappointed if they chose not to, but I'd love it if they did.

I think this might have been intended at one point, but isn’t any more. The reincarnation of Player is the blue robes caretaker of Xehanort, not Xehanort himself. At the very least, I believe there were things meant to suggest to the player that Player’s reincarnation might be Xehanort, but perhaps this was always misdirection rather than something they considered making actually the case.

@@drdca8263 I can see where you are coming from; however, Xehanort’s caretaker even stated that “Xehanort has the eyes that can see into people’s hearts” And even added that those were memories that the caretaker had kept in their hearts.

After how greedy they got with KHUX I'll likely avoid this one unless there is a *VERY GOOD* reason to play... If I'm being honest I'm NOT at all excited for this game OR the upcoming KH4! After playing KH3 I was EXTREMELY disappointed and that itself killed my hype for future KH installments... Like, I bought the DLC for KH3 and haven't even played through it. Maybe I'm just getting too old but I'm having difficulties getting excited for ANYTHING lately... :\ On A SIDE NOTE THOUGH! Seeing you upload so often again is awesome! I love your content, Man! :D

It's been confirmed already, both in universe and in interviews, that the player character from ML is the reincarnation of the player character from UX, and that this reincarnated character will grow to become Xehanort's blue robed caretaker. Also, I wish people would stop equating existence/non-existence and reality/unreality, these are separate concepts entirely. Nobodies are beings of non-existence, for instance, they have nothing to do with unreality.

I assume you are saying that because the phrase non-existence has been used in canon to mean, something, in relation to nobodies, but surely it can’t really be about literal non-existence, right? Like... Take any one of the nobodies that are characters. Within the story of the games, there are these characters who are “nobodies”, and there are facts that are true of them. Therefore, within the story of the games, these characters *exist*. So, something else must be meant by “non-existence”. Do you think you could give me an impression of what the phrase “non-existence” is used to mean in these games?

@@drdca8263 @drdca8263 I'm saying that because every single KH game constantly refers to Nobodies as beings that don't exist, why would this non-existence be any different? It doesn't matter whether the characters or worlds relating to non-existence exist or not, the fact is that this is what non-existence refers to in Kingdom Hearts. Unreality on the other hand has never once been referred to as "non-existence", simply because it's another concept entirely. Not to mention, the English subtitles are a bit deceiving. They used "non-existence" to make a prettier sentence with a parallel with "existence" but the Japanese trailer simply uses the word for "nothingness" which again, refers to Nobodies, not unreality.

@@Livael23 Thanks. Sorry, I didn’t mean to contest your point at all. I just meant, “what the hack does KH mean when it says that nobodies are beings that ‘don’t exist’ ???” Like. It must not mean “exist” in what I perceive as the usual sense of the term? Because in that sense, they clearly (in-universe) exist. Did Roxas eat sea-salt ice-cream? Then Roxas existed, because at some time it was true that he was eating sea-salt ice-cream, and therefore existed. But, I struggle to imagine what it might mean by “exist”, seeing as it can’t mean the usual meaning.

Yea.......Union X really just.......and Dark Road too......i really just dont get wtf is going on anymore in KH. Im trying to, i really am but ......i just dont. All i know is that i hate Pokemon Go but if this game is gonna be similar to it, I'll suck it up for KH's sake (either that or wait till its finished and watch the gameplay online maybe) 😅

Knowing Square-Enix mobile, they'll EoS the whole damn game in less time than they spent hyping it up. ...and because I never learn, I'm gonna get attached to it, just like I did mobius... and record keeper... and union x cross (screw Dark Road offline, UxC was better).

no PC port at launch is an L and it means I'll never play it if it doesn't go to PC in a reasonable timeframe. I just don't like action style games on mobile. Also, no one is mentioning the fact that this is going to be a live-service system with updates in regular intervals (or irregular intervals going off KH/square enix's mobile game track record) this game could very likely take 3-5 years to complete, so people getting excited for only the Lore and Story will probably be disappointed when it releases and there's only like 15-20 minutes of actual story. WHICH ALSO MEANS, since this is a Kingdom Hearts game, we'll have a gripping opening at launch and then meander and peruse disney worlds with little to no connection to the overarching story for a couple years worth of updates. I'm sorry, the 'kingdom hearts formula' is actually frustrating and bores me to death.
