The only change I would make to this version of KH's story would be to switch the order of DDD and 0.2, simply because Aqua's the only one who actually knows where Ventus is and how to get to him. Other than that, awesome rewrite

Terranort didn't defeat Lingering Will, it was the other way around. That's why after the fight, LW just just stops and kneels back down. It won, no reason to keep going. The only reason the Armor started moving in the first place was to beat Xehanort, and for the most part it did just that. That's why it was just sitting there all those years until Sora came along and triggered it.

18:57 preach brother! union X and back cover should of just been true spinoffs to give lore regarding the original keyblade war and sow the deeds for the xehanort saga without being forcfully intergrated into the main series by adding present day charicters 665 quests into the union X game.

Its a good rewrite, but i disagree with your use of Kairi. People were agitated by how useless she was throughout the series and wanted to see her step up to the plate with Sora and potentially even Riku. She can still have the hyperbolic time chamber to excellerate their training for believability, but that should be mostly before or at the very beginning of KH3 so she can fight at a competent level. We wanted to see her kick ass and be a partner to Sora. So instead, why not just make Sora's motivation be saving the people he cares about by trying to revive his friends, but to do so, he also has to overcome his own darkness of loss and failure present at the beginning of your KH3 rewrite. Kairi is one of the first to be revived and grows strong with Sora over the course of the game as you revive more and more powerful keyblade wielders with each world. Kairi is the light in Sora's struggle over his failure and uselessness when he and the others died, so she becomes his light until he can claim his own again. And the moment Sora's light returns to him in the final fight, he powers up enough to match Xehanort and defeat him because Kairi helped tipped the scales, lending him just enough power and energy to finish Xehanort. I feel this does more justice for Kairi while giving Sora something more compelling to deal with over his character arc for the game.

I would make Terra himself be Xehanort. Not out of body control bullshit, but out of desire to create true balance between Light and Darkness and exterminate extremists of Light such as Eraqus. You could either have Terra change his name to Xehanort or replace Xehanort as a player character in BBS. Also I'd expand on Ansem SoD in KH1. Elaborate on his relationship with Maleficent and give him more cutscenes.

I’d change more in Birth By Sleep than you did. Specifically how Disney characters are introduced and portrayed. They REALLY fucked up Stitch’s portrayal. All of his fun character traits were totally erased. His interesting destructive and mischievous behavior and development upon being forced to live with Lilo and slowly change his programming? Totally changed the second Terra says “no, my friend made that!” And that’s all it took for Stitch to totally reform. I HATED that change so much.

The screaming was easily the best part of the video.

In .2 you would need to do something that explains what aqua has been doing in the whatever years she’s been in there. Also 3d I like the change however find something for axel to do (or don’t give him a keyblade, we’ve given enough out) and make the game sora kairi and riku traveling together. Show me that they’re friends and have them go on an adventure cause right now, they have no chemistry.

The Roxas fight is easier if you level up.

I'm sorry MattCMG, but this one of the absolutely few times I disagree with you. With virtually everything you've said here, too. 99% of your ideas for changing things here really don't work on a narrative level and it would retcon way more than whatever you feel the series has (not) retconned. And I can tell from what you've been saying from start to finish, you're missing out on several details involving the characters and the narrative of the overarching plot. Nothing has been retconned throughout the series and the entirety of the series is as intuitive as it's ever been. If you haven't played Union Cross and Dark Road, then that's all the more reason for everything I've said here. And also, even though Kingdom Hearts 2 is my second favorite game in the series... no. Kingdom Hearts 2 is NOT a perfect game. At all. In fact, it has more flaws for both gameplay and story for more than most of the other games. And it would NOT make sense for the game to end at that point given there's so many unanswered questions afterwards and other loose ends still needing to be tied up. They kept going after that not just because there was more planned after this game, but a vast majority of the fanbase WANTED more Kingdom Hearts afterwards. And... BIG disagreement. Kingdom Hearts didn't go downhill after that game. If anything, it got BETTER than it already was. And you really should play Re:Mind because it adds to both gameplay and plot, making it better than it already was. Which is: The best game in the entire Dark Seeker Saga, even better than KH2. I will give you credit for one thing though: Unlike every other review or opinion regarding the series, especially KH3, this isn't intentionally spiteful and just dunking on something for the sake of getting views and increasing your own subscription account.
