Wow. IMMEDIATE tears. This song is something spiritual, I swear. It represents some of the best times of my life, yet even when I listened to it as a kid, I somehow already knew it would be this nostalgic one day. I know all you KH fans out there feel the same too... and that makes my chest swell up in a way I can’t quite put into words. I really do think our hearts are all connected, somehow... It gives me chills to think that future generations may see these comments even after our time has passed. I know this might come off as dark, but I don’t mean it to be. In fact, quite the opposite. It makes me smile to think a little piece of us will be preserved right here... in this beautiful piece of music... with some of our happiest memories 💛

It's pure nostalgic and makes you want to cry from the moment you hear the first tunes. I can feel it in my throat and it makes me shiver from pure happiness. People are talking about falling asleep and I’m sitting here getting hit by a rush of feels to this song. It just reminds me of being back in highschool and turning this game on for the first time, hitting me with something I’d never felt before changing gaming for me forever and the amazing adventure that followed... I love games but, not all move me in the same ways. Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda, Shadows of Colossus probably stand out the most in that regard. It’s like how I love anime for showing me that cartoons can be much more than laughs and giggles... they can be powerful instruments of story telling, that could make you care about the characters and events. Yea it can make you laugh, but also bring you to tears.

Orginal song came out in high school (I think), and I had no idea which college I wanted to go to. Much less what degree I wanted to do. Came across this version after I graduated college and was early in my career and attempting my first try at a graduate degree. Put this on a play list with instrumental songs. Came back to the list while doing an assignment for my second try at graduate school. I've got 7-8 years and 5 industry certifications under my belt now. I've become kinda jaded, and sometimes question if I actually enjoy my field, or the specialty in my field that I'm getting a degree for. Sure, my time and semi recent boldness to negotiate significantly more pay for my job, has led to me getting paid more and inching my way to $100k. Despite the pay, it feels like I don't like my job. It's not exciting. Part of me wants to apply to a different position within the wider organization, but those positions promise to be shittier since I'll have to deal with higher management type people. I sometimes consider leaving for a different organization altogether, but I have no idea where I would like to go to aside from "someplace that's steady and pays more", and I don't think that much if anything that I've done over the past 4 years would be usable outside of my current organization. There are occasional thoughts of "am I in the right field?", and a sort of desire to do something on the creative side of things, but I don't have the skills, drive to dramatically change my career type, nor an idea of what I would want to change to. I'm similar to how I was back when the original song came out: no idea where I want to be, what I want to be a part of, or what I want to do. I dunno. I wish that life was actually simple and clean, but it is unfortunately very complex and muddied.
