It is indeed. I have just recently been playing the game on android and have fallen in absolute love with the world and the storyline. I have already played in many different ways following many different political paths, and i must say the liberty of choice offered on this game is astounding. The replayability is insane. I want to play the game on pc to fully experience the new updates and give a shot to the rizia dlc as well

Despite the obvious differences, Rizzia reminds me a lot of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular given its material rise from a poor coastal village to a wealthy, yet politically stagnant, kingdom ruled by noble houses behind a veil of constitutionalism.

Hmm, I thought Suzerain was inspired by history of Turkey? Both main antagonist, protagonist and one of the advisors are all inspired by different interpretations of Atatürk and his wildly polarizing legacy.

Hmm, reminds me a little of the Imperial State of Iran before the Islamic Revolution: officially constitutional, but in reality controlled directly by the monarch, generally socially progressive in things like women’s rights but politically authoritarian….Maybe even Victorian England, If you consider Queen Lyza to be an alternative Victoria.

I’ve noticed this team likes to pick a couple nations and mix aspects of them. Sordland was mostly Russian, Ukrainian, and Turkish. What you said could easily be part of this one. I personally, am seeing hints of Romanian history in there.

@@Progamermove_2003it's more of a combination of Russian (names like "Tzarsbourgh", Consort Boris and a fake constitutional monarchy) and British Empire (almost everything). The flag seems to be a parody on the Germans however, with the sun replacing the iron cross.

The country is heavily influenced by Romance countries (i.e. Italy, Spain, France, etc.) from their language. Economically, it is similar to many oil-rich nations who also happen to be monarchies such as Brunei and Saudi Arabia.

My only complaint is that the Suzerain game never titles its royalty properly. The titular styles and ranks are never consistent, and the use of dynastic or house names as legal last names for members of a royal family is very strange. Also Morella isn’t actually a unique name. A kingdom in a story (Blades of Light and Shadow) published by the team behind the app Choices also uses the same name

honestly, if i were that king, i would just say screw it. establish a full parliament, and give myself a good yearly salary and ceremonial duties in a well enforced constitution, ensuring my position is secure, well payed, and without much work to maintain it. just holding on to some veto powers regarding changed to the monarchy itself. living a life of luxury, while having a populace that will accept that, and having all day to spend that money on everything i want to. and the other houses can just suck it.

You would be wise to have loyal people in the parliament and some spies dotted around the various governmental departments and military. I am sure you wouldn't like to be suprised by some event that could threaten your position, being exiled or killed isn't fun at all.

The aristocracy (including parts of your own royal family) don’t want that though, and they are prepared to stop that sort of reform. It’s not as easy as you make it sound, but tbh the uphill battle makes the game fun.
