Was my exact thought as well. Matt Reeves delivered an awesome Caesar trilogy. The new director, Wes Ball, directed the Maze Runner movies which were flawed but not at all because of the directing. So I think we'll be in good hands.

I'm both super excited and optimistic. The reboot trilogy is my favorite movie trilogy of all time after HTTYD, and The Lord of The Rings. I can't wait for the trailer tomorrow!!!

I was worried at first but they got the some people from rise to war on it. Disney knocked it out the park with Prey and Ridley Scott saw the new alien movie (early cut most likely) and talked with the director of that how much he loved it.

Ya'll need to do a "series trailer" that is just slowly building up to Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes that uses a "dramatic reading" of "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb" by Al Perkins -- because its a children's story that has a grand crescendo of "Many more fingers, many more thumbs, many more monkeys many more drums / Millions of fingers! millions of thumbs! Millions of Monkeys! Druming on drums!"

Planet of apes Rise, Dawn and War. These are my personal favorite series of movies. All three have their own quality in making and story telling. I really wish and hope they will surprise us with the same level of quality in the 4th contribution also.
