To begin with, the character you call Merlin in that movie, is actually a mythical figure prominently featured in the legend of King Arthur and best known as a mage or wizard, among his various other roles. There is no red dragon anywhere in Wales that any supposed Merlin owned. And for the Red dragon at Cardiff Square, it is a national symbol of the Welsh which has been in use since 1436. Infact it was Queen Elizabeth ll that mandated the placement of the Red dragon on the green white flag of Wales in 1959. I don't know where you are getting yiur stories from.
