I still sing this song years and years after the competition! When they started singing It was like the rest of them just appeared at Athens's concert. I love it! So underrated. I totally agree, the world was not ready for it.

Well, "Athena". Getting their name from Greek Mythology goddess of wisdom of war, established in the late '90s by twin brothers Gökhan Özoğuz (vocals) and Hakan Özoğuz (guitar, back vocals) (the ginger and the one with the hat) was the first "punk-ska" band of Turkey. In their first years, their sound was more "hard punk" based, then they mixed it with ska and created a unique sound which was never seen in Turkey to that date and became one of the most popular bands in Turkey. They have encouraged lots of young musicians that they can be successful with their own style other than pop-culture. They have created best-seller records and albums throughout their career. They have changed the music industry in Turkey and they made a big impact. This is why they are so important. For more music of them, I advise; "Athena - Arsız Gönül" , "Athena - Kime Ne" , "Athena - Skalonga" (Their first hit!) , " Athena - Serseri Mayın" and lots of others...

In 2003 Turkey sent a song which revolutionized Eurovision and won. In 2004 they again sent a song which brought something unseen in EV and ended up 4th. Legends.
