Just cause you don’t relate doesn’t mean they weren’t really saying some shit. If you are lucky enough to live life without a ton of mental battles then I can see why you didn’t really hear what they were saying. This EP was not made for the sake of entertainment. People who have struggled with anxiety, drug addiction, alcoholism, rejection, getting off drugs just to relapse, can’t sleep, can’t be happy and other mental illnesses fits the EP. For those, who want something else, there is plenty of other songs out there. Most rap, pop and rock songs are about a lot of nonsense or peripheral experiences. If anything, I think Trippie and mgk needed this project. Many rappers and other musicians give up after a while. Overdoses are not just accidental but deliberate.

I feel like people always hate on slow/singy tracks. For the type of album it is, it’s a good listen. Is it the best album I’ve ever heard in my life? Nah, but it’s enjoyable.

100% agree. I think it’s just the rap/hiphop community that will primarily listen to only rap which generally doesn’t consist of any singing (most rappers that try singing are not great ngl haha). Not saying that’s everyone but they’re always expecting a beat drop or for the artists to start “spazzing”. If all songs were just heavy beats and raw energy, the rap/hiphop would be constantly oversaturated with similar beats with no originality. But if people don’t listen to anything else aside from rap, I get that they don’t understand how to appreciate other elements of different music genres since they’re so confined to one genre (not saying that’s everyone). Insanely solid album for MGK and Trippie here, they did very well across the board here. That’s just my 2 cents though!

The album had alot of potential to be really good but it's how they approached like MGK was on and off on wordplay verses and flows and Trippie had alot of cringe moments like the mixing choices but overall its ok.

I don’t know how people can actually find this project remotely interesting. Production is so flat and nothing about it is even sad. The lyrics read like “I’m 14 and this is deep”. How are you gonna talk about fentanyl and drop a mandalorian bar two bars later and expect me to take anything you say serious. MGK still wants to be Lil peep so bad and Trippe is literally making a joke of a genre he helped pioneer. Compare this to anything Juice Dropped or Trippe in 2017-2018. Juice and Peep actually dealt with these serious issues and it killed them. Now a 33 year old millionaire wants to cosplay as a sadboy and talk about how hard his life is while also dropping bars about crying in limos and hitting it from the back lmao it’s actually comedy
