I feel like fallin light is the continuation/ alternative version of memoria, just like love whisper and summer rain. memoria talks about visible pain (sowon's dad, yerin's injury etc.) while fallin light talks about pain that is not visible to others. in memoria's ending scenes they helped one another and became each other's wings. in fallin light they had to face their problems alone. sowon is a person who's not satisfied with things around her. although she's surrounded by shining crystals and lights, she doesn't seem happy at all. at the end of the mv she picks up a piece of crystal and begins to appreciate everything around her. she realizes how lucky she is and eventually finds happiness. yerin is a person who is trapped in a difficult situation. no matter how hard she tries, she can't reach the light. she tries to use a rope and a chair, but it's all useless. at the end she looks up and realizes that the light is close to her. her determination to reach the light has became her strength, and she finds the “fallin light” with the ladder. eunha is a person who's lonely and desperate for love. she daydreams about having a lover in her room. but when the two toy dolls touch, the moons around her lit up. she realizes that she doesn't need anybody, she just needs to be herself. she can still shine brightly without a lover. yuju is a person with low self esteem. she hates seeing her reflection in the mirror. she tries to ignore it by falling asleep but her reflection in the mirror is trying to reach out to her. she decides to reach out to her mirror self and the room immediately lights up. she begins to see herself in a different light. she doesn't need to be perfect to be beautiful. sinb is a person who's trapped in memories. she keeps thinking about her past and the photos are painful reminders of the beautiful times. at the end she burns those photos and rebirths as a brand new person-a person who's ready to face the future, instead of reminiscing about the past. umji is a person with depression and she loses her interest in everything. to her, everything is white and colorless. one day, she starts sticking stickers on her window. she's amazed when she sees lights shining her room through those stickers. she finds colours in her colourless world. this mv is basically telling you to accept your flaws and your past, and to love yourself for who you are. best mv of the year, people are just too blind to realize that.

I have high expectations. I really do, but i never thought that this release will exceed my expectations. A gfriend japanese song with gfriends unique sound. Rhythmn, melody and instrumental are great, choreo is as usual, in-synch. Eunha's intro, highnote is so addicting. Sowon and umji's vocal part is wonderful. Sinb's dance flow and Yuju's center part is so pretty. Yerin's acting and vocal always on point. Oh yeah almost forgot yerin's forehead

There’s always something unique about GFRIEND’s music I think they really focused on their instrumental since Rough(?) era or Summer rain era. They add a lot of strings and orchestral elements like violin, cello etc. I really like these kind of instrumentals I even cry sometimes as it’s so beautiful. The another thing is, their harmonisation and Ad-lib are gorgeous. We have Yuju, Eunha singing those beautiful high notes, and their hidden vocal under the main melody is also nice to listen to. You can tell source music really focus on their music production, since Summer rain, and there was tftmn, memoria, Sunrise, la Pam Pam and now we got this❤️

Now the cursed month is coming which is may when gfriend disbanded. I hope there is no more pain they will get after a whole mess last year, please I just wanna GFRIEND be happy and successful
