I just ran across this and can’t believe how easily the memories just poured in! Love it! This ride should be brought back!

Yeah, not many of us left who remember that EXCELLENT ride

I was an 8-year-old kid riding that ride. And I remember right when you went in the blast of air conditioning that felt so good..

BRING THIS RIDE BACK!!! Just hearing that song again brought tears to my eyes! THANK YOU!!!!

I have tears running down my face right now. I haven't heard this song in 35 years and I immediately knew all of the words. Remember that a lovely aspect of this ride was that it was air conditioned, welcome on those hot Ohio summer days.

I was at Kings Island in 1976. I do remember this ride!

I was 16 when I first Went on this ride in 1972. Last night at the 50th anniversary fireworks and drone display I got chills when they put the music onto this ride and showed the TV up there via the drones. I can’t believe how old I am now but I will never forget this ride or this music!!

Those were the days. This was my favorite ride at Kings Island when I was a kid. This tune will live in my memory forever! Thanks for posting!

This was the best ever. Continued to ride as a teenager. I wish it had been there for my kids. I tell them about it all the time and sing the song. Always telling them to have a HHHHHappy Day

I own a pair of the big speakers that played this song on a loop in the building at various locations throughout the ride. They were sold off at auction when they changed the format of the ride to the Phantom Theater. They’re still sounding amazing at 50 years old.

I've got to get my parents' old photo albums out soon and look at our pictures of the Enchanted Voyage. What great memories! I, too, was disappointed when they replaced it with Smurfs. But the song and the way the ride made me feel will live in my heart forever!

This ride was great. Better than It's A Small World and a better song. Good memories even as an adult.

This was one of the best rides at Kings Island. All the Saturday cartoon characters came alive in that building. It's a shame they took it down. I forgot about the jingle they played that got stuck in your brain. Thanks for sharing the memories.

King’s Island was my 2nd favorite day of the year back then (after Christmas). We went on GE day every year, as my Dad worked at the plant in Evendale. So many great memories. I still have a KI map from 1979… I laminated it years ago to keep it from disintegrating. Thanks for the video! 😀

3:16 the clown on the very end looks scary... I didn't understand this ride really. But now I do! How neat for the characters you see on TV in a ride... Like you're going in a tv set. Phantom Theater will always reamain to me the best ride at Kings Island, but I feel had I ridden this one, I think there'd be a tie. What a neat concept! I wonder where all this cool stuff went? Some of my favorite shows are there, still to this day- Thanks to Boomerang. I'm 19, love this classic stuff!

this is great back from the days when Kings island was so much cooler I grew up with all the characters that you seen during the ride this sure brings back some memories:)

Cartoon friends and funny faces Jinx and those little meece he chases Ant Hill Mob, the Wacky Racers Live in my TV I’m friends with Fred who yells out Yabba Dabba Dabba Doo Bosom Buddy Barney too. And Scooby Dooby where are you. I love that mumblin’ bear I laugh at him until I hurt And when it’s, Banana Splits You don’t eat them for dessert Bristle Hound is not a stranger He saves Lambsy when in danger. Yogi Bear outsmarts the ranger All in my TV Those happy friends who live in my TV.

Made me remember my Grandma and riding it with her. 😥❤

This was the best ride at kings island. It would really be nice to bring it back! They ruined it when it became the smurfs and again when they made phantom theater. Now its boo blasters. It was a very nice cool relaxing boat ride thru cartoon land and should have remained as such! Boo for taking it out to begin with!

It's a wonder I'm not afraid of clowns. Going through that mouth with the teeth coming down was more scary than the part that was *supposed* to be scary. I loved this ride so much.

That might be me at :30 I was wearing a backwards scooby hat 7 years old. Always rode by myself in the back of boat. I liked the spooky parts and the clown face at the end going over the ramp thing. I wanted the clown to crunch down on the boat. Its teeth looked like twin size matresses.

one show there back in 1984 when this ride was also still running I wish someone had a vid of was called the "Rockin' Scooby" show which had scooby doo yogi bear and fred flintstone on stage over by the little gas drive sports car part of the park (which is no longer there saddly) and they did songs from the 50s and 60s wasa really great show

Thanks for posting this. Brings back some fantastic memories from when I was a kid. I was 6 when the park opened back in 72 and we went almost every summer. This ride ran from 72 to 84. I was so disappointed when we went in the summer of 86 and the smurfs had replaced the enchanted voyager. Yeah I was past my teen years by then but that ride was always a favorite since I watched all the Hanna Barbera cartoons as a kid. How did you get the music. I use to sing that song for hours.

*sniff* - YES... the best! It was great to enjoy the air conditioning on a HOT summer day. :-) I always liked the big clown teeth at the end and the big snail saying... "Hope you enjoyed the ride. Have a huh huh HAPPY DAY!"

Ah yes...back when KI had soul. I recently took my young daugters there in late summer of this year. It's souless now-adays....just not the same place I experienced when I was a kid.

thats a shame I rembr back in 1984 when this ride was running it was so cool, and they had I think one of the best schooby shows over by the small driving cars called "Rockin" scooby I would so love to be able to see a vid of this if theres one out there wasa great show I bet I could even out ona scooby costume and do his skit without any problems even after all thees years I seen it alot back then:) thanks for some great memories

No chance of that. Scooby Doo and even Nick will be gone next year, replaced by "Planet Snoopy", a Peanuts-themed kids' area. Even thought they're both much farther away from us, my family has gravitated more to Disney and Dollywood. Both places have maintained their theming and do their best to keep as many old favorites in place even when adding new attractions. They also have many more rides that whole families can enjoy instead of countless roller coasters.

That ride was pretty lame by today's standards, but for some reason I always looked forward to hearing this jingle. Musicians rely on gimmicks too much these days and have lost the ability to compose and play catchy tunes like this.

Does anyone know what years the ride had those different exterior designs in the pictures? Was this ride at kings dominion as well? I grew up in the Smurf era.

the control room? it was a platform with a series of buttons. the building is shared with the ecology department. a theatre. and the base of operations for the ecology department. and the character department. i can't imagine what your saying. did you get wet lol?

That boring Smurfs ride was a terrible letdown after the Enchanted Voyage. And what a dumb decision to replace a ride featuring all the Hanna-Barbera characters with a ride that only featured the characters on a single show -- a single, irritating show.

Too bad that ride got shutdown
