Here are the top three costumes from this year's King of Carnival competition. These massive costumes are absolutely stunning!
Winner: "Ghelgath - The Demon Lord of Ice"
2nd Place: "A Peacock Becomes the Windows to the Universe"
3rd Place: "What Lurks in the Night"

Based only on these three costumes and how they were presented, the Moko Jumbie (A Peacock Becomes the Windows to the Universe) would have been my first place. Teddy Eustace (What Lurks in the Night) would have been my second place. The winner was beautiful but that's just my own personal taste. I'm curious as to what street that costume could move freely. It looks wider than the average street in Trinidad. After he leaves the stage, people on the pavement will have to move for him to pass!

Carnival used to be ex citing . I have watched several videos. It's become a gigantic parade. And, boring.

The third costume worn and designed by Eustace. He did not use the skirt on the road. Made no sense to me. It then lost its beauty. Why strip the costume? All you saw was black feames. Made no sense to me.

I agree 100% as I hv bn saying sch 4 many many yrs. Plenty recycling as if they feel ppl wldn't remember. Even if u don't it jogs ur memory n2 focus right away & ur response is bt I saw this already. We hv d talent, they need 2 b most original dat is y u cnt really beat Peter Minshall.
