I always thought the drums on this song were not that interesting. But played instrumentally without the vocals the drums score really comes alive. This was a brilliant performance.

Nathan Followill is one of the most unique drummers in modern rock music. I highly recommend listening to the "Aha Shake Heartbreak" and "Because of the Times" albums in their entirety.

@@TheChance1991 Good Idea. I have got those albums. I have mostly paid attention Caleb's swooning, holaring and howling along to lead guitar of Matthew and Jared's booming bass guitar. I really haven't paid attention to the drums that much. Maybe the drums are so good that they blend in to the songs unnoticed. I just started learning the drums myself. That shit is not easy at all.

The hardest? Really? With the insane time signatures of bands like Dream Theatre and such I'd argue this isn't the hardest song to time. But I agree it's one that many people who attempt to cover slip up on given the guitar comes in the 4th beat not the 1st that's all. A simple click track for the guitarist and drummer in ear can help people time this up better, eventually drummers and guitarists will figure it out, it is an uncommon interaction for sure.

I like the way Christina keeps the rhythm, I like the way she plays the drums, although I am not a musician or a drummer, I like the way she plays different songs on the drums, which makes me want to watch her videos more often. 🙂
