Brendanglo they had to have backup singers and another acoustic guitar player singing harmonies to pull it off. If it was jus KOL...it wouldnt have sounded anywhere as good

David Deacons Kings of Leon core band members are 4 - Members Caleb Followill - lead vocals, rhythm guitar (1999-present) Jared Followill - bass, keyboards, backing vocals (1999-present) Matthew Followill - lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals (1999-present) Nathan Followill - drums, percussion, backing vocals (1999-present). All the other backup singers on stage are extras. The point is that they needed 5 extra people to do justice

This is surprisingly epic. Diehard Eagles fan and I like Kings of Leon. They're totally capable of playing old style stuff. This is a good sign. We must bring this back.

by the look on the eagles faces..this hits close to home. KOL eased into it, like the eagles did when they would put this around song three in the set list. You know...they did it so well that the eagles had a bit of a hard time, and rightfully so. Glen was amazing.

difficult watch, KOL one of the best bands in the last 15 yrs. The Eagles sitting watching, and you just know they're watching the musicianship, and no one is gonna come up to the Eagles in that but anyone who loves the KOL is going to want them to do some classic covers ... Like most fans I realise where they came from and would be happy to see them do loads of covers to show respect for their influences, some bluegrass would be great... Anyway these guys can do no wrong for me... Love em..x

For people being upset at the Eagles for not smiling; A) they've played/ performed the song hundreds of times, (yes, I understand this is a cover and never heard before) but it is still the same song and B) this was Glenn Freys song, he absolutely nailed the vocals in the original and he just passed away a little over a year ago so, as you can imagine, the Eagles might have bittersweet feelings toward this song now :/

I don't mind that they were serious, but the first reason is bs... I've seen tributes to Paul, Bruce, Sting and many others and their reactions were better. Anyway I think they were just enjoying and taking it in.

Glenn Fry wrote the song with Jackson Browne. Glenn Fry was the man who sung this song when the Eagles performed this live...to everyone saying they didn't like the KOL cover...I think it's quite the opposite, I think they were all having their moment with the song, remembering their friend and bandmate Glenn. Glenn only died January 2016. For what it's worth, I think KOL did a great job.

I honestly wouldn’t be smiling to, especially if I was thinking of a bandmate that had just died. A song like that brings back memories. Heck, hearing George Strait’s ‘Heartland’ always reminds me of my grandfather because I listened to it the day he died.

Maybe slightly irritated because it's not entirely an Eagles song? It was originally written by Jackson Brown (finished by Frey), and why should Joe Walsh be happy? He wasn't even in the band at the time. And maybe they were thinking they'd rather be down there playing instead of sitting in monkey suits surrounded by glitterati while some kids murder their song. I'm not saying that all this is true, but if they want to look uncomfortable ISTM they have that right! :)
