It was the time when some knights for the first crusade were still alive until the death of Baudouin 2 and the seljuks were still disunited. The crusaders will have the upper hand in Syria until Azaz in 1125 but when Zengi will become atabeg of Mossoul in 1127, playtime will sadly be over.

Hey Kings and Generals team, can you make a video on how did the Powers in Europe react to the initial Muslim conquests of Byzantine territory and Iberia? We usually only focus on later Crusades and Reconquista years after Islam makes contact with the Christian world. Did they think it was a usual invasion of Barbarians and that these people would eventually convert to Christianity or leave and didn't have a goal of converting them to a new religion? How aware were they of Islam in the beginning? That would be an interesting video.

Love the series. But... why are you calling this period "Second Crusade"? The Second Crusade started with the fall of Edessa in 1144. Granted, there were always expeditions going to the Holy Land since 1100 (going on Crusade was to undertake a pilgrimage), but historiography always considers the Second Crusade as taking place in the 1140s. If you consider the late 1110s as Second Crusade, well, it wouldn't even be the Second if one considers the expeditions of the 1100s...
