Mine says oil life 15% but what percentage do I change the oil because I just estimate or I just drive my car 3x a week about 10 miles a day and I change the oil and filter every 3 month

It all depends, if you are driving local and car is creeping towards 100k I would recommend changing around 40%, plus also depends if you are going to keep the car for long time or no. I used to do 15% under 50k Miles, after that I don't wait that long

How low do you let your percentage get till you get an oil change?

@cesar Penaloza - very good question, it all depends on your personal preference and driving habits, im sure this is very contervsial topic. My suggestion is to change it at 15% if your car is under 100k and u do majority city driving.. if over 100k change it around 30% or 40% again if you do tons of city driving. If highway than you some extra room.

Cesar, the car doesn't actually know your oil life. It's based on miles, I don't recall what the manual says for the TSX but my Hondas in the past stated 7500 miles. The digital gauge is simply going based on milage.

@tsunamizc- my both TL's and now tsx, the computer actually goes off the driving not mileage I have driven strictly highway and 15% was well above 8700 miles and driven city where I have seen 15% at 5300 miles.. so computer analyzing the driving conditions and habits in there..

Just got mine today it came on at 15%
