You got to look at it from Jeezy's perspective too...he came from the underground...doing mixtapes...the Bad Boy situation with Boyz N da Hood and then getting signed to Def Jam...what went down with Gucci Mane and the fact that T.I. was in the same lane...He had to make sure he kept his momentum going too...that whole ...release a album, fall back for a year or two after touring mentality was done...the reason why you need somebody like Kinky B in your circle to handle the business 24/7 ...not dancing with bottles of champagne in the video and trying to be seen all of the time...Jeezy was the one ...keeping the lights on ...he was the Face of the Franchise !

Jeezy was on fire...CTE and USDA benefited...from the early to mid 2000's...Kinky is dropping jewels...I was doing some promotional work in the DMV area for major label artists as well as up and coming ones...it can be a head ache...especially after being a local dude who performed at small venues and recording songs...even DJing at little events or trying to organize ...trying to make stuff happen...then dealing with getting that paperwork and money right...so many con artists and grimy individuals in the game...you have to keep your circle tight...dudes like him, Cudda Love, Shaka Zulu, Mack Maine and etc...I like to hear them talk about the business side of the Rap game !
@chuck93802 жыл бұрын
Jeezy wanted all the fame and shine to himself
@BigDapPacino2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily he shouted them artists out on songs...they did not have a verse on but Jeezy was the one signed to Def Jam...the one that the CTE and USDA brand was banking on...everybody was assisting him at first because he was scoring the most points...Jeezy worked hard to come up from the mixtape situation plus he was in competition with Gucci Mane and T.I. when they were red hot too...then Rick Ross gets signed to the same damn label around the same time...the pressure was on Jeezy to make sure his buzz on the streets remained and he needed big records to push units and go on tour...so everybody could eat...they didn't have commercial success like he had...if Jeezy fell off early, the whole ship would sink!

If you're CEO is a rapper you really just part of the crew. Ross in my opinion did the best job not holding back his artist or getting in they way. Gotti doin good now but he not really a artist anymore ' when he was consistently putting out music his artist wasn't shinning. & gucci done put people on but who career went past a album or so. It takes a real full time CEO to make stars. Roc a fella was successful with multiple artist because of Dame dash not Jay z. All he had to do was rap' dame made the moves & he equally focused on multiple artist. Most rap CEO labels with co ceo's focus all the money & attention on the main rapper
