😊 Hi Shrimp Tales! Thanks for checking out the video! The Mechron 2200 does not have power steering. The 2240 has power steering, as does the K-9. Probably what you would expect as far as difficult to turn when stopped in tight spots. Most of the time I am moving and the turning is fairly easy. If you have a dealership nearby, you can stop in and test drive. I loved the K-9, I just wanted a smaller footprint in the shop and it’s more money, of course! Take care!🚜🍺🇺🇸

Hi Kevin! I hear you! There is not a lot of content on the Mechron. My experience has been that the Mechron does well going down hill with a load. I typically drive in low all the time. As long as you keep it in gear the engine does slow you down. I hope that helps. I have done a handful of Mechron videos. I’m not sure that any of them demo what you are looking for. @@tractorrookie Many thanks for taking the time to get back. Yes, I talked to a couple of Kioti dealers and they both mentioned that even though there's no actual engine breaking, the tension on the CVT belt will help slow you down as long as it's in gear so that puts things more at ease for me. Not sure how many more years you will be able to still get parts for the Mechron but I was quite bummed out about it getting discontinued... Such a shame as this thing is built like a tank.

Right?! Hopefully parts will be acceptable for a while, but who knows. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤞😊

😊Hi Mrmaddog! I actually drove both when I bought mine. The power steering was nice and of course the extra power. I haven’t had the need for more power yet, but you know how that goes. Probably the two big factors that pushed me toward the Mechron, was size and price point. 😊 Hi James, Good question! If I was trying to decide I would consider several factors. Number one is what you are going to do with it. The Mechron is slow, it will climb a tree with a load of wood, but you are going nowhere fast. The load and towing capacity is great. One thing people don’t like about the Mechron is the belt drive, so far, no issues, but it is a consideration. One of my big concerns was price and dealer support. I bought the Mechron for 11k from my tractor dealer and they are 6 miles away. The design and layout on the Mechron has not changed in forever, it seems like the Polaris is always updating. I have never owned a Polaris, so I have nothing bad to say about them. Also you are looking a diesel Vs gas. Hope that helps! 🍺🇺🇸🚜
