Kioti Tractor Rescue! We Need Help

We're having trouble with our Kioti tractor and need to take it in for maintenance. It's the check engine light this time, but we have a ton of work to do! What will we do in the meantime. But have no fear, we have a rescue plan, thanks to a generous Kioti dealer.

I have been a Kioti owner for 20 years. Recently went from a ten year old Mechron 2200 UTV to a new K9 Cab unit with heat/air and all the other accessories except the bed lift, serial 000042. My wife and I use ours daily on our 50 acres. Also owned a DK40 for twenty years and recently upgraded to a DK4710. Other than regular service only replaced a speedometer cable on the DK40. Kioti recalled the Mechron and updated the differential under warranty. No problems to date on the K9 or the DK47. Kioti just makes good stuff. I found your channel because of your tractor and I have to say you have put it to much harder use than I mine. Finally it appears we both have top notch dealer support. If anyone asks me, I swear by the brand. Enjoy watching all your projects both inside and out.

Is the engine turbo charged to offset the negative effects of altitude sickness that all engines suffer from ? For each 1,000 ft. of altitude increase above mean sea level all engines will lose ~3 to 3.5% of their rated hp\torque unless turbo charged\fuel injected !

There is fuel injection, but it's not "turbo charged."

Get a Kubota 1100, a much better unit and has a hydraulic plow attachment from kubota that works great.

there great units kubota diesel rtv 1100 there pretty easy service on plus uses same kubota tractor engine parts

Yes, shure has a LOT of "clanging & Banging " going on. Maybe they are running a steady dosage of "Rot-GUT " fuel in that rig.

Probably stale diesel, thats all it takes to screw up the injection controls and regen crap they put on them.

It seems ridiculous to me to make tractors so they require random service that can only be diagnosed by the dealer. Scanners can be purchased to check cars to find out what is wrong but tractor dealerships have a monopoly on repair. Not that it is brand specific. A court hearing recently determined that John Deere had to allow farmers to diagnose and repair their tractors using third party scanners.That is the problem with the modern tractors. I have a Kubota not saying the brand makes a difference but it is old enough so it don't have a check engine light so never have needed to have the dealer diagnose what is wrong with my tractor. Actually I haven't had to fix it other than the usual things like change oil and filters.

I'm not a tractor company, so any guesses are just that. Possibly more modern machines are similar to how cars require occasional maintenance. Bryan does have over 780 hours on it, so you can see that it does get a lot of use, probably more than most.

@@ColoradoMountainLiving They add all kinds of sensors and pollution stuff to modern engines. Older diesels and gas engines didn't have those things added on to engines so older diesels only required regular routine maintenance like oil changes and filters. A mechanic I watch on You tube calls the check engine light the money light because it is sure to cost you money when it comes on.

@@gordonwilloughby8793 they use a uvim scanner like other Doosan products. The scanner and Kioti specific software for it have been cloned and cracked. Many of the service manuals leaked out when Kioti left the pages unsecured. The manuals I would rate as some of the best I have seen. Gives good description and diagnostic instructions on most systems.

Anyone that can read will see in the intro of the video it's clearly stated as a "paid promotion," aka an Ad. Why is it a bad habit to fund a YT channel with occasional ads? Viewers still get free content and creators are motivate to create more (instead of just working for free).

Once you earn the viewers the money will come,, you have not earned them and doubt you ever will! I did see where it said paid promotion, but this is the 1st time ever where it was the whole video and not just a small part of it@@ColoradoMountainLiving
