I am 42 and I tell my girlfriends all the time that I LOVE the girls in their 20's because they are living their lives without any fear, taking risk, and holding the men in their lives accountable. So many woman make excuses or continue to have conversations over and over with men when these men know better and want women to lower their expectations to be a clown in their circus. Iktr… I have encountered the same situation Kirah encountered with a guy except I was not flown out anywhere… He was someone I have known for years; and when I had decided to reconnect back with him, it was a whole totally different ball game… He was involved in a hit and run accident to the point it messed up his mobility… He wanted me to come and see him more, and spend time with him… I made myself clear, I said the only time I will be able to come spend time with you is on my days off… He agreed than all of sudden we were talking and he just flipped the script asking me what the f*ck was I there for? He made it seem like I invited myself into his space when he literally stated he wanted me to spend time with him… After he said that, I said you know what you are right, I got up got dressed and pulled tight! I said you are not about to make me a target I am not the one who hit you and sped off… I deleted his number and everything, I also cried as well because he made it seem like it was my fault.

What I really loved was that you showed it and told your audience about the disappointment. Social media and internet makes life seem like there are no disappointments but indeed there are.
