Combining copy abilities is the reason this is my favorite Kirby game. I'll never know why this never returned

The bomb-cutter was a super OP ability. Its essentially a hitscan weapon with no actual projectile. If any enemy is within the horizontal view range infront of kirby, it will get hit no matter how far you are.

Stone/Cutter was always my fave, especially when you became the little bird. You were basically invincible and could sail through tricky spots.

Bomb+Fire has always been my favorite. It has a long range in all directions and you can actually keep moving at the same speed while you use it.

Since I was a child I have been fascinated by the mechanics of this game. It was incredibly disappointing for me to learn that they stopped using the combination of skills, it was so much fun to experiment and the results were always amazing...

Damn this game was amazing it had so many combinations even you can combine the same ability for a stronger one. The fact this N64 game can do all this and this ability idea wont even be tried again until Kirby Squeak Squad shows how good this game is!

Thank you for a nostalgic trip back to my kid days. I think this was the first game that my parents ever bought me and I remeber playing it on christmas when I got it with the N64. My grandparents were there and my dad helped me defeat the first boss who I think was a friend of Kirby who got corrupted. I didn't know how to defeat him (I was seven years old then) and my dad simply said: "Spit the star on him" and it worked :D Thanks again for this awesome video this really took me back and made me smile. I always liked the double lightning ability best.

Honestly I think Pitch is the best Animal Buddy statue. Let’s look at the alternatives, SHALL WE? Rick is only useful in wall scaling situations Coo is Pitch but he suffers something the others do as well (I’ll get onto that in a second) Kine is honestly made to be useless. There is no way he is useful, even in water despite being a fish. Nago is Rick but he can’t even wall scale And Chu Chu can only jump. Pitch, in the other hand, isn’t able to walk like Rick or Nago, but he does have some ground movement (the rock rolling) and he actually has a very unique property: He’s fast. The others suffer from slowness. In most situations, Kirby is much better for finishing the level quickly. Pitch is faster than Kirby however and almost the only quality that would make you want the Animal Buddies ability.

How nostlagic, I always loved Bomb Shuriken, Fridge Kirby and Ice Skate Kirby the most :)

The ability mixing was the sole reason I played this game, it was so fun.

So, when Kirby has x2 bomb, he can spit FREAKING MISSILES?!

Every Bomb combo portrayed by Star Allies: Bomb + Bomb: Doctor Kirby or Chemitory (Doctor friend) holds up 2 beakers, has 2 bombs thrown at each one (by Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby), then mixes the two potions together, and creates a Tri-Missile Launcher, which is given to Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby. Burning + Bomb: Works the same as Bomb + Bomb at the start, but instead fire is put into one of the beakers, and then Doctor Kirby or Chemitory gives firework powers to Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby. Bomb + Cutter (called Explosive Ninja Stars for a reason): Ninja Kirby or Bio Spark uses Friend Ability, then Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby throws a bomb at Bio Spark or Ninja Kirby, who then makes it into explosive ninja stars. Ice + Bomb: Blizzard Bomb Mode Robobot Waddle Dee's bombs will look like that explosive snowman. (Note: Robobot Waddle Dee is a Dream Friend.) Needle + Bomb: Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby uses Friend Ability, then Needle Kirby or Togezo (Needle friend) hops on, creating a Spike Bomb out of them, which is thrown by Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby. Bomb + Spark: Zap Bomb Mode Robobot Waddle Dee's bombs will look like light bulbs. Stone + Bomb: Poppy Bros Jr. or Bomb Kirby uses Friend Ability, then Stone Kirby or Rocky hops on, creating dynamite, and the Friend Ability is.... never mind. I'm tired.

This is the kind of game mechanic that wasn't really uses that much. That would be great if we can have this in modern Kirby games with the new abilities.
