@@kirbyallison Sitting here watching some more of your episodes - My $80,000 Bespoke Suit and Jacket Collection. I started thinking if your have such a collection of fine garments your wife must also have a nice collection. Does she have her own channel, if not you should do duel channels. 2nd thought maybe not my wife would probably put me in the poor house with one item.

ditto my friend! i fall asleep to these videos on repeat BUT have found i've accidentally learned so much about shirt making/suits/cigars i've been throwing out terms like "yoke" at formal events now lol!!

I think one thing that's really underrated is the abstract pattern of triangles formed in the chest area of a suit by the collar, tie, and jacket. By altering the cut of the jacket, the width and knot of the tie, and the shape of the shirt collar, you change the shape of those triangles. When that composition is ignored.. the outfit looks like just a shirt, tie, and jacket all as seperate elements... but when that composition is appealing, it brings the outfit all together and the pieces work as one unit

Great video Kirby. Bravo to this fine craftsman. I remember years ago, when having my very first Oxford button down made, by Mr Butcher of Budd Shirtmakers. He asked if I’d like a “bit of a roll to the collar?”. I replied that that was EXACTLY what I wanted but had no idea how to word it. Every time I don one of those shirts I grin thinking about how good Budd are - and just how DANGEROUS that roll to the collar looks! Delicious! Edit for autocorrect!

Pierce Brosnan wears a nice collar in the 007 movie The World is not Enough. Sort of a fusion of english/continental.

Hi Kirby, what is the ideal length of a shirt sleeve when wearing a jacket, is the shirt sleeve length difference when a wearing a shirt without a suit.

Make thumbs up with your hand, then glide down your arm towards your thumb. When your finger stops thats where the dress shirt should ideally end. Then depending on your taste Jacket should end between 0 and half an inch above that. Overcoat around the base knuckle of your thumb. Shirt sleeve length can stay the same regardless if you are wearing jacket or not

Dear Kirby, outstanding content as always. Love what you are doing for men in this day and age. I have been meaning to ask you for over a year now but always hesitate to do so, that can you make a video or a series on the company "Pure Polish". they make very high-end shoe polishes that are non-toxic and made with orange peel and other natural ingredients. I would be grateful if you could let us know how the polish compares to Saphir and your opinion on who that polish is meant for. I have heard a few shoe collectors say that it is better than Saphir in the mirror shine department and has some clay based water-resistance product as well. I love saphir and have been using it for more than 6 years since you introduced me to it. I will be looking forward to another great shoe polishing ASMR video hopefully to understand this company and its products better and also your opinion on whether i should use it or not. In line with collars, could you please start carrying "large" neck wear? I have a 21" neck, and 22" bow ties don't fit. I've been trying to get a 25" bow tie for some time, and it's become nearly impossible. Furthermore, I like your content, and I like your neck wear, but it's just too small! I've brought this problem up multiple times with your customer service agents, and I keep hoping it will get resolved, but it hasn't. Please understand that my issue is not due to obesity, and I can't just lose the weight to shrink my neck. Thanks

Wow! I wonder what men would wear slim fitting shirts like that. This will be very uncomfortable to wear, and you wouldn’t be able to sit down and type on your laptop.

Funny how he measures in imperial. He mentioned 1 and 3/8th of an inch. Just use millimetres mate! Much easier. lol.

I’m sure you already know that imperial is the standard measurement used in shirt making & tailoring. As for metric being easier - easier for who?

Everything is great about these videos... I watched many like this gentleman then real men real style etc. But I don't understand why their movements are so stiff while wearing a suit.. it's bespoke to make you comfortable but I feel he's unable to move in a suit... The hand movements...body language little artificial...sorry but honest from the heart

Dear Kirby, I like your content, but 1.) your tie knot doesn’t cover your dress shirt behind and above the knot. You should know this. 2.Holding your hands in the pockets of your pants while speeking is not polite.

Reminds me of a doctor I met once who spent his whole career as a surgeon specializing only in acute eye injuries in children. He said even after 30 years he often felt clueless compared to the complexity of the topic. This video just happened to be the shirt collar version.
