To Joe Testa & Helge Christophersen - I much appreciate your knowledgeable back & forth comments - I am brand new to this incredible sport of Latin dance and I always look for your opinions either to confirm my own or to learn & to be enlightened from your observations so you have both been a great help in this regard! I have only been watching for a few weeks but have spent hours playing catch up - exploring the different dance channels- following my favorite dance partners- learning the excellence & nuances of what I believe to be some of the best dancers today. I got hooked in the very beginning because I saw a video of Salvatore Sinardi & Viktoria dancing last year & I fell in love with their obvious chemistry- her beautiful femininity & his appreciation of her- it was incredible & as I looked at more videos of them they never disappointed! Then I saw him do a class on the importance of Chemistry between dance partners & it all became clear to me why he was a perfect partner for her -he showcased her- supported her - danced to enhance HER talent & sexiness & loved to show her off! With her new partner Kirill I don’t see the same passion between them consistently & it’s more often NOT there which is such a tragic waste of both their talents. I know she has gone up to professional level but for me this change in partnership feels like a mistake. Kirill would probably do better & be happier as a solo dancer in other genres perhaps ? He doesn’t seem to appreciate Viktoria & she seems to have lost some of the joy of dancing she showed with Salvatore. On the other hand Kirill’s previous partner Polina has struck gold with her new partner Andrey Zaytsev & they have amazing & very obvious chemistry ( & it didn’t take them long to find it either so that proves when it’s right it’s right!) - so it has turned out to be the best thing that Kirril left her- she gets to show her passion & intensity now with a partner who appreciates her! I know some people felt she was a bit of an ice princess before but I would guess it was Kirill who inspired that- now with Andrey she can be fully realized. I’m excited to see more of them! Stefano & Dasha are another couple who dance with incredible passion & chemistry-they too understand how integral chemistry MUST be between dance partners & it makes them truely beautiful to watch! I am keeping my fingers crossed that either Kirill has a change of perspective about who he needs to focus on or Viktoria has another change in partners( boy would I love to see her go back to Salvatore!)

william messana, Hi. Wow thank you. I am truly surprised and humbled by your generous acknowledgement. Yes Helge and I have had many combative sparing sessions. He and I ave a very long history in the sport, but we see partner Latin dancing with very different eyes. He is more fixated with technique and timing and all that stuff and I believe that before all else a partnership must look and feel harmonious and organic and that it must look like two people dancing as one entity and truthfully reflect emotions and the music to our partner.. That for me is the primary reason for why people want to dance and what it's first and foremost all about. . So you're new to the sport and already you have articulated beautifully what attracts you to dancing and have seen it so clearly when that chemistry is naturally there and when its not. I am impressed. I agree entirely with your assessments on Vik with Salvo Vik with Kirrill and Sergei and Polina. A&P seem to have a better polished all round package at this early stage, but If Kirill and Vik can develop that connection chemistry partnership component then they will be something very special.. At the moment its not sufficiently there for me. and you're right vik doesn't look the same as she used to. Steph and Dasha i have loved for years and the more they improved and grew together so to did the love. I wish you well in your new found dance interest and welcome to this beautiful but at times frustrating world of international Latin dancing. best wishes and enjoy the the learning process. Have you begun taking any lessons Yet? If not you should its the best fun you can have standing up.

To Joe Testa- Your words of encouragement especially to a newbie like me are very welcoming & I thank you for taking the time to do it . I find your comments to be intelligent & thoughtful & always on point - & you have no idea how educational your insights are for someone like me who has just discovered this beautiful world- I look forward to reading more of them as I continue to explore it!

william messana. You're more than welcome, I'm delighted that you have found at least some of the stuff i say helpful. That's the whole reason I write. To provoke thought and start insightful intelligent conversation with dance intersted people and dancers, which too often on social media it's not. My comments can be abrasive confrontational, controversial, even offensive at times where I feel they need to be, but I call it as i see it be it good or bad, based on many decades in dancesport. I try always to be honest, objective and balanced in my views and only ever critical of the dancer and never the person. VOW !! This is a superb performance of art. Kirill is dancing with feelings, deep feelings, not so hectic as on Airdance. This is a GREAT performance from him. And he lets the beautiful Victoria complete her moves, not cutting them. This is also a GREAT performance from Victoria. This is a DEEP rumba. (I guess world champions this year.)

I only regret they do not much too well physically, this is the only drawback that is impossible to overcome:(. Victoria looked much better in terms of height and body strength with her previous partner. Unfortunately on this top level those tiny things will mater. The same happens with Pavel Zvycahny and Oxana.

@@____Ga well, I understand what you mean, but I have other perception in this regard. When I watch her with Salvatore I often get the feeling that in terms of physical built (not height) he is somewhat too small and she is too big (muscular) for him. With Kirill I don't mind her being more noticeably shorter than him because it is quite usual situation in life, in couples generally. But they fit each other very well in terms of physicall built because now I see a couple where we have a tall well-built man and a petite but physically strong lady, which seems more natural and appealing man-woman image to me than the previous couple situation with a lady being bigger, more muscular than a man. Sure, these tiny things matter at the top level, but the height mismatch between Kirill and Victoria to me is not that drastic so that it becomes a "visual problem".

@@DanceAffectionist Visually this is a strikingly handsome looking partnership and the slight height different is not an issue for me either. This rumba is quite beautiful, but for me it falls short in one area and that' is that I don't buy deeply into the emotions, primarily from Kirill.. Everything they do is very well crafted, polished, correct and precise, but there are many moments that the looks the touches the expressions don't look spontaneous and real to me, therefore I don't totally buy into the story between them. I don't know what it is, but Kiril appears hesitant to touch her with REAL feeling and meaning, I see the gesturing but he appears reluctant, almost uncomfortable in going the full Monte with her ( same with Polina). He just doesn't appear to be all that naturally comfortable with getting that up close and personal with a woman. Viktoria is alot of woman and so vivaciously sexy and sensual and she exudes all kinds of feminine energy and he doesn't well enough appear to know what to do with that energy. I hope in time they become more comfortable with each other and really engage me and make me believe because atm I,m not quite there. In every other way its near impossible to find fault.

@@joetesta8754 Yes, I share the same opinions. I agree that his emotional engagement with the partner is not sufficiently natural and truthful. However, he has improved in that regard in comparison to the partnership with Polina. Perhaps, it’s his artistic style, but it needs improvement if it keeps being unbelievable to the audience. He is a very intriguing dancer in terms of his body actions, dancing biomechanics, but he needs to learn the artistic side of being more emotionally truthful in order to have a chance of beating the other top couples. He sometimes seems kind of too self-absorbed with his own dance movements and is not really attentive to the feminine miracle besides him. I just hope he will become in the future more relaxed and comfortable with his dance routine and then he will refocus more onto the partner and will be able to create a more believable emotional atmosphere. And yessss, she is gorgeous indeed 😊 and there is so much potential in this couple!

жуть просто. Вика - профи высочайшего класса. Я так расстроена, что она встала в пару с этим криворуким-белоруким...Вернуть бы её тандем с Синарди Сальваторе. Вот же они не просто танцевали, они жили в танце. Гениальная пара была
