Pushed to the ground and momentum of sliding trying to get up. I've seen many players lay on the puck and hand pass cause technically that what it is and not get penalties. Hand pass is a penalty now?

As a flames fan, this should not have happened because Dube was clearly crosschecked with about 60 seconds left in the period and the flames should have been on the PP.

He didn't close his hand you can clearly see that in the replay at most it's a hand pass and you blow the whistle not a penalty.

What's sad is that the player committed the penalty should be aware of the rules. The refs enforce those rules so there's at least some integrity in the game. Obviously your team lost so it's understandable you feel your team doesn't need to abide by the rules.. that in itself is sad IMO. What? He literally picks up the puck... Unless you can use a stick to close someone's fingers around a puck then use the stick to pick up their arm and rapidly swing it and open their fingers all in one move you are crazy.

Definitely is not clear that he picks up the puck. The call was closing hand over puck. Not a hand pass. I had to watch it a few times to see that the call is not that obvious. He does technically have his hand closed over the puck but it's because the wild player put his stick over his hand and pulls it back for that split second. Then it's flopping around, and he finally swipes it away.
