He had to have some reconstructive surgery some years ago after a very severe nearly life-threatening fall during a concert. He doesn’t readily discuss it openly anymore but it was reported some years back.

What Kirk Franklin does has NOTHING to do with what God has called us to do. At this moment we are to acknowledge our own faults as we pray for one another. However we judge, we shall be judged.
