You can always find Ferrante & Teicher joints in the dollar bin. Guaranteed to have mad piano and string samples every time 👍🏻

Struck it rich in samples with that piece! Out of just the few tracks you selected they were full of flavor.

Dollar bin bangers! Love the thrift store/op shop finds, my last 20 records cost about 15 dollars, always jump on RCA and Polydor finds, and anything not in English.

What's an op shop?
@BMK.Crew.3 ай бұрын
@@HypnoticHollywood Opportunity Shop, like a thrift store/goodwill/donated secondhand goods shop. Run by the Salvation Army or other charity groups, we just call them op shops here in Australia. They usually have a big pile of records somewhere, some have been picked clean but others have stacks no one has touched in years and years. Usually $1 a record, 50c for a 45.

Absolutely fam, it ain't no excuses and the Polly Possibilities are endless when it comes to sampling vinyl lol!! Loved all the elements you took from that jawn, especially the soft piano chop, and the dusty texture made it official. Nice work my brother, keep doing your thing homie!!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚

Sick! Question do you dample straight from the pt01? Do you find that it sounds thin if you do?
@MattCupan3 ай бұрын
That little Numark PT01 such an underrated turntable. It's best quality is you can throw batteries in it and take it with you on your diggin hunts. To try before you buy. So you don't lose dough on the 70s cleavage cover record with nothing on it. Good thing with sampling from it is it gives sound character. That little "Tone" knob can be tweaked to dirty up sound as it goes in sampler. I feel you can pitch better with that little knob better than a slide pitch on a "pro DJ" table. And that PT01 can actually scratch good. Being what it is. Generic needle. Inferior tonearm. Tiny table/platter. But you can get 2 of them little guys and even do a beat juggle routine with them. Lastly, you can't beat their pricepoint. Dope little turntable.

Majority of the time I sample from there or I may sample from the Serato DJ using technics 1200s

Matt that’s true , I seen dudes have two tricked out PT01 and do a 45 set on them

I dig the more simplified joint you made not the busy one so much. The simple one you started making at 11:38
@MattCupan3 ай бұрын
Never saw that album from them. But, Ferrante Teicher been sampled bunch of times. Few hoints by Dialted Peoples. Canibus had a joint sampled them. Even Daedulus sampled a track of theirs. I don't think I could bring myself to pay more than a buck for one of their records though. You could go to any Goodwill in the country and most likely find one of their records in the trash (I mean dollar) bins. This dude who worked at a record shop told me couple decades back. A good beathead can dample ANY record and make a beat out of it. It's definitely a craft.
