The new film, "Civil War," imagines battles in the streets of the U.S. Kirsten Dunst plays a photographer trying to get to Washington, D.C., in the midst of chaos to interview the authoritarian president. Dunst says she was left "shaken" after watching the movie for the first time Thursday. The very idea of a civil war breaking out in America might seem preposterous to some, even with all the political and cultural divisions we face. Inside Edition’s Steven Fabian has more.

Maybe that’s the point of the movie-that some horrific event could cause two disparate states to team up to protect “American values.” I think they’re probably also trying to make the point that even though we may be very different, there is a strong sense of common pride in being American.

In a written article it makes more sense. The country broken up in three parts: the 19 state western alliance, led by Texas and California; the Florida alliance, basically southeast states led by Florida; and the remaining states still loyal to, and the Federal government. The Federal government has turned it's back against the US Constitution; and become an authoritarian regime. Despite being politically or socially different; when you have a common enemy, especially in war, you set your differences aside, to combat your enemy. In other words, the enemy of my enemy, is my friend.

Texas and California. So, this is a comedy? That dumb joke aside I'm guessing the plot will be pretty forgettable it's likely just a movie made for the spectacle, explosions and gunshots. Nothing wrong with that just sometimes I think they get a little too dramatic with... well the title for one thing here, and maybe taking itself too seriously if it doesn't become satire.

Perhaps an event like this is inevitable and needed. This country has become divided like night and day. One side wants to change every norm that has ever existed and the other is repulsed by them and vise versa. Nature has a way of reaching equilibrium. Most don't want to live near or coexist with an enemy and these day's that's what the other side has become.
